Title: jackpot want reset Post by: junkman on December 30, 2010, 10:26:16 AM machine is a bally 5000 plus when i power it up it shows code 82 in win window i let it set there with the power on and about 30min. later the reels start moving and it starts clicking and the win window is showing jp. back and forth when i turn the reset key the reels stop but it keeps clicking on the door when i close it. like its in lockout or trying to payout a jackpot and it want reset with the buttons on th mpu board or the red button on the door. now i know the battery on the mpu board is bad . could this be the problem causing this to happen i have one ordered and i have done a clear on the machine
Title: Re: jackpot want reset Post by: StatFreak on December 30, 2010, 06:07:17 PM If the battery is bad all bets are off, as that could cause any number of odd behaviors. There's no sense in doing a clear before replacing the battery. Also, be sure to test the battery with a multimeter before installing it. Once you've installed your new battery, do a full clear and let us know how the machine is running. If you are still having issues, the members here will help you troubleshoot them.
I believe that an 82 just indicates that the machine was powered down and/or that the door is open. |
