Title: mills reel slot Post by: junkman on January 03, 2011, 10:23:59 AM We going back in time. I have a dime mills one armed bandit hitop that when it hits a large amount it locks up and I have to pull the mech. And reset the slides or dump all the money out of the pay tube to reset it. Is there a easy fix to this problem.
Title: Re: mills reel slot Post by: Jim on January 03, 2011, 01:22:10 PM need more info. a large amount could only be twenty coins? I would look all around the slide area and to the left of it for some stay dimes laying on the bottom of the mech. obstructing the slides and their reset functions. also check for broken springs or the coin tube full deflector being stuck and not allowing the tube to refill.
you can take the mech. out and manually cycle the unit and checkout and observe all the payouts. once the mech is out: use a screwdriver(heavy duty type) place it on top of the bearing that would engage with the handle and the stationary point directly behind it (on the bar) this will act a a handle. when you push this down you will see a rod come forward on top near the coin entry opening, you will have to hold this toward the back and this will allow you to continue to cycle the machine. when you get this down, then you can set up winning combos on the mech to observe payouts. the payline outside the machine is usually the second hole on the coin tube feeder cover. when you "wind-up" the machine and it kicks off hold the fan, then position the reels for the winning combo , release the fan and let it continue, and observe the payout. when you find out more info let us know.
