Title: bally 1000 reel problem
Post by: ronr11 on January 06, 2011, 07:06:18 PM
Been awhile since I've had to post a problem, my early model  E1000  reel 1 will stop and when it does all the reel lights go out and reels 2&3 continue to spin
thanks Ron

Sounds like you have a bad reel reader board on the #2 reel. Does your machine show a code in the payout display?

Hi Ron,

I have not heard of this one before.  Have you run through the maintenance tests in the manual, especially test #5 ?

In my experience many malfunctions in these older bally machines are due to bad/dirty contacts.  I'd suggest gently cleaning the contacts of your I/O board, all your Real Reader boards and the Reel Control board.

Good luck,
Mark
