Title: Other model 400 non-dotmations - what have you seen? Post by: cfh on December 01, 2008, 12:51:57 AM I'm really becoming a Wms slot freak. At this point, i can't
even play an IGT S+ any more. the mono-type sync sounds really bother me. Lack of backlit reels. pretty much all IGTs are the same to me. Haywire the only one that is even semi-interesting. But anyway, i had a chance to see a few non-dotmations this weekend. was wonder what other ones you guys have seen that you liked? here's the list of what i've seen, with some comments: Short Circuit (re-spin, who copied who here? Haywire first?) Shootin' Stars (cowboy theme, nudges, good sound effects) Jackpot stampede (no bonus that i saw, just cute sound? Shooting Stars seems better) Reel Em in (fishing theme, respins) High Speed (car chase, respins) Top Cat (bonus mode with light animation) double header (baseball theme, nothing special) Triple bonus (again nothing special) Title: Re: Other model 400 non-dotmations - what have you seen? Post by: tacman on December 01, 2008, 12:57:31 AM Clay, I know there's a pirate theme with a lighted bonus round similiar to Top Cat where the cannons of the ship boom and then bonus amounts lit up. I can't remember the name but a kit was on Ebay about a year ago that caught a couple members eyes. Don't know who, if any got it on NLG.

I'm trying to document all the Wms model 400 slots. I figure if i don't do it, no one will. and they are getting harder to find. For example... need some reel strips? i have scanned in almost all the wms model 40x game reels strips available to me so far, cleaned them up, and put them in Photoshop 6.0 format. I have 15+ games done (mostly dotmation, but some non-dots too.) If you need a set of strips, this is about the only way to get them. I have been printing them on 18" long photo style paper (unfortunately you get one additional seem), but they look great. the backlit isn't quite as strong as the originals, but if your strips are missing or damaged, what choice do you have? there's lots and lots of IGT stuff out there, but not much Wms. so i'm just trying to document and save as many of these as i can. That is a 550 Dual Screen Belly Graphic other Non Dots are (will keep adding) Wild and Loose (Wild Cherry type pays off line) American 7's (dud) Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras theme) Jitter Bug Title: Re: Other model 400 non-dotmations - what have you seen? Post by: cfh on December 01, 2008, 02:53:40 AM has anyone seen this non-dotmation JP Stampede belly glass before?? That is a 550 Dual Screen Belly Graphic are you sure about that? because it's the same size as a model 40x belly glass. the 550 belly glass is smaller. Title: Re: Other model 400 non-dotmations - what have you seen? Post by: blueridgeslots on December 01, 2008, 03:11:25 AM I am sure it is the same Graphic, that is what I meant, I had many of them, one going out this week, not saying it wasn't made on a different size glass, but most WMS glass has what it is for printed on it, just like the Short Circuit glass, and the printing colors as well, usually by Advanced Graphics or Suburban Graphics or the vendor number

Post by: cfh on December 01, 2008, 12:43:46 PM So of these non-dot wms slots, are any worth "saving"?
that is, i am archiving the reel strips and glass artwork. so far this is what i have on the list of "good" games": high speed jackpot stampede reel em in shootin' stars short circuit top cat (this one may be tricky as the belly glass is molded plastic) are any of the others worth the trouble? it's a bit of work to scan the artwork and clean it up for "non descript" games like: jitter bug fat tuesday (mardi gras) double header double exposure triple bonus $2 bill wild and loose american 7s heat wave Title: Re: Other model 400 non-dotmations - what have you seen? I also know Idesign has a printer that uses photo paper on a roll. No seams. Title: Re: Other model 400 non-dotmations - what have you seen? Last I asked they were not doing WMS any more but maybe still on the older stuff. I also know Idesign has a printer that uses photo paper on a roll. No seams. What type of printer does this...is it expensive? I havent seen printer photo paper rolls...that has to be an unusual printer setup...where can I get one? Dan GIF GIF GIF! does anyone have pictures of this pirate game?? Clay- Pure speculation, but based on the theme and WMS tendency to use, and recycle, and recycle again with game themes and names, it's possible that it's "X Marks The Spot." A variation of that game is on casino floors today in banks of Monopoly Big Event, and according to this page (http://www.newlifegames.net/wms/) it was also a 550 theme. I know the X Marks The Spot Monopoly Big Event game features a bonus round where cannons fire from one ship towards another on the video screen. Absolutely no guarantee that this is right, but without any other info, it's something to look into at least. Title: Re: Other model 400 non-dotmations - what have you seen? Post by: blueridgeslots on December 02, 2008, 10:55:30 PM Money 2 Burn was one of the originals, I remember seeing one at a place when I first got my training wheels in the biz, I am guessing around 96 or 97 I saw it, it was going to be resold to a tribal gaming leasing company if I remember for $3500 bucks, that is why I remember, I know how some people made big money back then, but when they couldn't get $1000 for a game they sold the property the bought and auctioned off the rest and retired
