Title: Game Maker SafeRam Clear Will Not Clear, Old Graphics Message Post by: mantaramian on January 16, 2011, 03:23:42 PM I currently have a Bally Game Maker and have read threw all of the post that have similar problems and still have not been able to figure out what I am doing wrong.
Everything that I have read steers me towards the battery, My battery voltage is 3.6 volts. I am wondering if I got the correct SafeRam Clear Chip? The message I get is the following: Graphics changed, use old graphics to view meters, or clear saferam to use new graphics So I purchased a clear saferam of ebay for $12.00 from a reputable buyer, his feedback is in order for the parts he sells. After I put the SafeRam Clear Chip in the P10 position and change the dip switch 7&8 I do not receive any additional message So I am wondering if the chip is bad or I have the incorrect version..... Threw the post I did not see any different versions. I am including some additional pictures Title: Re: Game Maker SafeRam Clear Will Not Clear, Old Graphics Message Post by: mantaramian on January 16, 2011, 03:24:57 PM Here are 2 more pictures to see what I am dealing with

last yr. I had problem with mine & I got a debug clear chip from Jim @ Blue Ridge (vendor @ top of page) And that fixed me up. Title: Re: Game Maker SafeRam Clear Will Not Clear, Old Graphics Message Post by: mantaramian on January 16, 2011, 04:23:36 PM Yes I was very careful and paid close attention to the proper placement of the SafeRam Clear chip, I even placed the SafeRam chip in another 28 pin socket to ensure I would not bend one of the legs
The machine doesn't seem to recognize the SafeRam Clear chip...... Maybe I will have to get another one. I just hate waiting another week for the part! Title: Re: Game Maker SafeRam Clear Will Not Clear, Old Graphics Message Post by: FORDSBS on January 16, 2011, 04:27:51 PM The DEBUG CLEAR CHIP is different then the reg. clear chip. If things are screwed up it will fix it.
Check with Jim @ BR. He's good on them Title: Re: Game Maker SafeRam Clear Will Not Clear, Old Graphics Message Post by: mantaramian on January 16, 2011, 04:50:08 PM Thanks for the heads up, I looked on Better Slots web site and didnt see anything.... Do I need to email him?

I checked the battery voltage and it was dead. My question is once I replace the battery do I need a saferam chip to go through the process?
