Title: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Magicslots on January 29, 2011, 09:05:11 PM Will all of S+ games work in an S2000? I am thinking of selling my S+ machines and going only to S2000's :200-
But I have some game kits I dont want to get rid of. Where does that leave me??? :103- Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Buzz on January 29, 2011, 09:17:02 PM AS for as I know all S+ games will play in a S 2000 You will need a SB001000 Base chip and the SS (reel chip ) from your S+ game. You will not be able to change the pay % it will be what ever SS chip your using. Maybe I should have said all standard S+ games, Barcrest, only Bunker could do that one.
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Magicslots on January 29, 2011, 09:31:11 PM Thanks Buzz, I had read some post similar to this but couldn't find them when I searched.. :200-
I don't have any Barcrest...yet :97- I really hate to sell my S+ "tanks" :5- but I just don't have the room for all of them :37- Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: stayouttadabunker on January 29, 2011, 09:35:47 PM lol...Barcrests....uh uh...not interested... :96-
Yeah, I totally agree with Buzz...if you get yourself an SB100100 chip - you will be able to run just about any S+ game. Have fun! Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Buzz on January 29, 2011, 09:42:12 PM Bunker Just so we don't confuse Magicslots he will need a SB001000 base chip
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Tilt on January 29, 2011, 10:15:18 PM Some S+ specialty sounds may change in the S2000. The cool S+ respin till you win tunes on my Bulls-eye changed to a boring "we're in the money" melody on the S2000. I didn't see anywhere where I could change it, so it didn't stay in there long.
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Foster on January 29, 2011, 10:32:29 PM You just can not use ST (S+ tournament) chips.
You will have to find a Tournament Base chip for that theme if it exists. Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Magicslots on January 29, 2011, 10:50:39 PM Quote Bunker Just so we don't confuse Magicslots he will need a SB001000 base chip :127- What me confused..err..uhh what did I say my name was? :279- Seriously though, if I have to sell my "tanks" which I hate to do, because its kinda like your first car, or your first gun.. :264- you hate to get rid of them, but space is at a premium in this tiny cracker-box of a house I live in! :37- I still want to be able to use my S+ kits, so this option should work out fine. Heck I might even make a little money selling all the spare S+ parts I have accumulated to go towards another S2000 that I dont realy have room for :208- Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Magicslots on January 30, 2011, 12:49:30 AM While I am at it...with a S2000 machine with a backlit reel setup, will the S+ games light the reels
etc etc? like the 2000's??? :103- Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Brianzz on January 30, 2011, 01:01:36 AM Don't forget the minimum chip speed for S+ chips in S2000.. 120ns I believe is minimum speed
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Magicslots on January 30, 2011, 01:05:07 AM Thanks Brianzz :131- Another dumb question....wait for it...
how the heck do I tell which chip is what speed?? :58- Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: coorslight115 on January 30, 2011, 01:12:07 AM You have to peel the label off, 27c64 120 / 27c64 100 / 27c64 150/ the last number is the speed in NanoSeconds (NS)
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Magicslots on January 30, 2011, 01:18:50 AM :293- I knew it would be something simple that I was too stupid to rationalize.... :299-
What about the backlit reel question??? :125- Just smack me around a bit..I am gettin old and the wiring has a few too many shorts in it! :72- Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: coorslight115 on January 30, 2011, 01:24:46 AM the back-lit worked on all I tried. Haywire was neet ! :3-
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Magicslots on January 30, 2011, 01:55:27 AM :185- Too sweet! Maybe I will sell the S+ machines after all...if I sell em both, that should be enough :56-
to buy me a nice S2000 3 reeler to play with.... :284- for all the help! Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: stayouttadabunker on January 30, 2011, 04:27:43 AM I know I asked this question a few years ago but I've long forgotten what the answer was... :5-
Uh...what chip is faster the 150ns chip or the 120ns chip? I've never really understood that "theory"... :96- Would a 90ns chip work? Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: brichter on January 30, 2011, 04:30:26 AM 120 is faster than 150ns
less time = faster chip Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Buzz on January 30, 2011, 04:31:26 AM Mark I have always been led to believe the smaller the number the faster the chip. Where's the geeks when you need one!!!!!!!!!
Huh Guess found one, Thanks Bill Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: stayouttadabunker on January 30, 2011, 04:46:26 AM Thanks guys! Especially for answering my question again...lol :131-

Post by: StatFreak on January 30, 2011, 07:36:44 AM Okay, I gave Buzz some incorrect information when the subject of capacitor values came up the last time we talked on the phone, and it's been bugging me ever since. I was going to simply correct myself the next time we talked, but too much time has passed. (Buzz, you never call me anymore! :8- :8- :72- :72- :72- )
This seems like the place to post. The Greek letter Mu (μ) stands for micro (1 millionth), not 1 billionth, so μF stands for micro-Farads. Sorry Buzz. :88- m = milli = 0.001 (thousandth) μ = micro = 0.000001 (millionth) n = nano = 0.000000001 (billionth) p = pico = 0.000000000001 (trillionth) So 120ns stands for nanoseconds, which is 120 billionths of a second (or 0.12 millionths of a second) and refers to the latency, or the shortest period of time that can occur between requests for data. If a more powerful computer sends requests for data faster than the chip can handle, errors result because the chip can't respond fast enough. A 120ns chip can respond to requests in less time than a 150ns chip, hence we say that it's "faster". Stat :31- Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? It's in the drawer in the bedroom.... jk See the vertical silver metal handle on the left wall? Looks like pretty colored LED light bulbs underneath it? Pull on it. Make sure the power is "OFF" 1st....please! Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: JRR4 on February 18, 2011, 04:17:10 PM LOL.. Thanks

Post by: JRR4 on February 22, 2011, 06:51:05 PM OK, I just got in my S+ SS reel and Base chip for haywire (Money Storm). Am I correct that I just replace the base chip in my S2000 with the new one and plug the reel chip in and turn the machine on and it will be ready to go? I think the reel chip is a few pins short but I may be wrong.
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Buzz on February 22, 2011, 08:20:14 PM You may have to do a clear and would bet money you will have to do a Key set up. Note in Pic. where the SS chip needs to be installed.
Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000? Post by: Foster on February 22, 2011, 09:04:26 PM You will not need to do a clear or key unless you want to change key menu settings, or change accounting denom (clear requireed to change accounting denom)
the SS ROM must be placed towards the un-notched end of the socket so that Pins 1,2 and 31,32 are empty (notched end of socket) Title: Re: Can you use any/all S+ games in an S2000?
