Title: Converting a slot machine Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on January 30, 2011, 01:29:14 PM Can an s-plus be converted to a s2000 if you have the wiring harness and proper cpu, reel strips, etc?
Title: Re: Converting a slot machine Post by: Foster on February 01, 2011, 09:51:23 PM Not without some major modification of the main cabinet.
Door will also need to be modified. The Reel shelves are completely different. MPU mounts on left wall just below reel shelf AC Power Distribution, S2000 Communications Bard, and a small 12V power all in one metal box mount on back wall. Backlit controller mounts below reel shelf on back wall Switching Power Supply mounts behind reels. Hopper plate is also different but may fit without mods Top Box in S+ does not have mounts for Audio Amp and Power/Netlplex Distribution Board. The only parts that interchange between a S+ and S2000 Buttons and switches Optics Award and Belly glass Some reel strips Handle Mechanism fluorescent lamps SS Reel Chip with proper Base Chip in the S2000 MPU The coin handling brackets, chutes and the drop chute solenoid may work in the S2000. Other lamps in the S2000 are 12V S+ is 6V The S2000 has 6-8 extra printed circuit boards in the basic configuration: VFD display and driver Door I/O Cabinet I/O Power Distribution Board. Audio Amplifier Back Lit Reel lamp Controller. Player display but the S+ also has one. I probably forgot something, but hopefully you get the idea. I was thinking of doing the same but after seeing how the S2000 and S+ are different it would be lots of work. I bought a vision ready and replaced any parts to bring it to S2000 specs. Every Harness and the actual top box was replaed. |
