Title: 61-1 won't clear Post by: B-52BadByron on February 12, 2011, 07:31:11 PM I have a RW and B, S+ with a 1271 game chip. I have already used a clear and then a set chip to take care of this problem but no help. After the clear and set chips are used, I get the 61 code. I press the reset button and then get the 61-1 code. I turn the reset key and nothing happens. The 61-1 code does not clear. Any help would be appreciated. :8- :8-

See that above? That's a link to the "Submit A New File" section of NLG. Go to that area and download the 2nd file named "SP1271.doc". That is the PSR sheet which is the "Program Summary Report" for the SP1271 game chip you have installed in your machine on the MPU board. Please tell us you have a blue potentiometer volume control knob on top of your MPU. That would signify that you are the proud owner of a 10MHz MPU board and your SP1271 chip is installed into the correct MPU board. If you read, and re-read, and re-read the PSR sheet ( that you will be shortly downloading) - you will see this fact in there. I want you to read this PSR sheet 76 times. If you read it only 75 times and come back with a a question on how to find the door optics test, I will punish you and make you read that pamphlet 25 more times before I help you..... :14- jk The point I'm trying to make is that you must sit with that sheet in front of a machine and do your best to learn how to work every word in that sheet on your machine. Once you mastered that fine art of using a PSR sheet with your eyes closed - you will be a certifiable slot technician! If so make sure the door is completely closed .. if the switch is in the open position it will not allow a 61-1 clear.
