Title: IGT Programming Help Needed
Post by: Searaycapt on February 14, 2011, 12:27:02 PM
Hey Group. I purchased 2 IGT Video Slots at auction. Model # 94619000. One is a 5 X's Pay and the Other is a Double Diamond. The 5 X's pay was working perfectly until I tried to switch the MPU with the DD in an attempt to see if that corrected my problem. Note to self..... Never do that again.  Lol  Anyway, after the Call Attendant message and attempting a reset, the 5 X's Pay is back working but with a couple of issues.... The max coins played is now limited to only 5. Secound problem, there are additional fruits ( ie: plums) That were not present prior to my reset attempt. Now for the Double Diamond Issues... The DD was previously set to work with vouchers and therefore will not accept coins. I am assuming that I need to find a manual with instructions on how to reset and set up preferences. Anyone have suggestions? Finally, the locks were removed from the Bill Validator. One would think that the the door covering the bill collection cassette would just open freely without locks installed but it doesnt. There must be some sort of interlock inside that the cam from the removed lock activates???  I really can not see what is preventing it from opening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to  :nlg-, Searaycapt!   :3-

I'm not familiar with the Lock and Roll games, although I'm guessing they're based on the Game King platform.  Hopefully someone else will be able to chime in and give you some more information on them.

If you could take a picture of one of the MPU boards, as well as the cash can area of your game, hopefully we can get you headed in the right direction.  With the locks removed, there shouldn't be anything preventing the cash can doors from opening.  I presume you've tried pulling hard on them, or some gentle prying with a flat blade screwdriver?

The cashbox door on the gameking were notorious for have spring loaded latches on them, just inside the hole where the locked was mounted is a plate that needs to be pushed up to release the door, a screwdriver usually works for this. To reset your game and change the settings, you will need to keychip the game, during the keychip is when you would set the machine to take coin or voucher, activate bill validator, and set communication options. I am sure someone here has the procedure for a ram clear and keychip on a gameking, if memory serves, there are only 2 keychips for the gameking and it depends on the program or board you are running.

What you have there is a 17" or 19" IGT Upright Game King.It has a SDS Bally Player tracking bracket in it..I bet its got a Seiko Gen 1 printer and a JCM WBA Validator in it.Oldshcool. Nice hold reel bonus though. This is right about the time when that feature became popular. Anyhow, I have manuals for this game or can give you help if you still need it, E-mail me.

I usually just put my pinkie in and push up the release.
