There are several different kinds of top boxes but the most popular are called the RT, The 16", and the FlatTop 9". Some people get confused between the 16" and the 9" topboxes. By the way, I never knew the "Rich&Famous" game was a Bally. For some reason I always thought it was a WMS game... Hmm...learn something new everyday! Title: Re: Bally Glass-Broken Post by: littlechip on February 28, 2011, 01:17:00 AM AH! Yes it is a Bally S5500 Model# S62M3WT10. Works great only problem is the glass on top is broken, The Glass is almost square measuring 19 1/2 X 15 inches. It is a quarter machine using 2 coins max! Pays out real good too, so it fun to play. So anyone know where to find replacement glass for a Bally???
Thanks Ken Title: Re: Bally Glass-Broken Post by: a69mopar on February 28, 2011, 01:50:00 AM Here is a $100 denom machine.
Try Jim at Blueridge. Ask for a 16" glass. If no luck then post a Wanted to buy ad in our classified section. Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Bally Glass-Broken Post by: StatFreak on February 28, 2011, 05:16:42 AM If you post a WTB in the classifieds, don't forget to mention that you need 2-coin glass.
Title: Re: Bally Glass-Broken Post by: CYRIL1973 on February 28, 2011, 06:53:03 PM Hi,
I have the glass you need. Shipping if from France should not be that expensive. He thinks he has one and he is a little closer. If not how much do you want for yours? Now it does measure 19 1/2 X 15 inches, and is for a quarter machine which requires 2 coines, right??
Thanks Again Ken Title: Re: Bally Glass-Broken Post by: reho33 on March 01, 2011, 09:11:11 PM Try this:
Since the glass is a loss anyway, place it into a scorching hot water bath, just water. Then let it soak awhile. Try to pull the decal off the glass while it is still underwater. If it comes off cleanly, then you can get some glass cut at a hardware store and lay the decal down with some clear adhesive. It might just work (not my idea, someone elses (you know who you are)). Also, you might want to use a good, thick, quality of plexi-glass as a replacement if you are worried about breakage or replacement. But some people are purists and nothing will do except real glass. Or how about this (question). Could an existing piece of casino slot glass be laminated like a windshield to protect it somewhat?
