Hi, I want to ask the PRO's if this is a good deal.(S2000 IGT 9"glass/reel strip kit w/ progressive)Is how it is listed.My computer will not let me copy and paste after a upgrade, go figure. It is a 5x pay with the stand alone controller and display with glass and reel strips, but no chips .I found this on ebay and think it would be awesome to have with the progressive. I figured with some help from you guys, I could figure out which chips I need and how to set it up. But, I'm leary because It's still on there and nobody has scooped it up at this price . So I guess my question is, are the chips hard to get ?or would it not go in my S2000 without changing a lot of other things ? Kinda baffled on this and wanted your opinion. And yes, that looks to be a pretty good deal. I've bought a lot from that seller and been very happy with my purchases. 5X pay chips are pretty common and shouldn't be hard to find at all I would think

The Mikohn unit alone is worth $75 so it's not a bad deal
you might have to run an SB1000 with the 5x pay ss chip
unless there is a SB chip for the 5x pay for a S2000 I don't have that info in front of me(I'm sure another member can chime in)
but the chips should be the least of your worries.

Setting up a progressive for the first time is a little tricky but really simple
once you get the hang of it all,Don't worry we will guide you along if it gets to that.

I think it's a good kit.
It's always fun to have a progressive scrolling numbers but that particular progressive is
a lot more complicated to hook up than the Netplex ones they make for S2000's.

It looks like S+ kit really - except they threw in an S2000 reel glass.
It's really hard to see the connectors in that photograph.
I can't tell if it's the ones for the S+ motherboard or what?
I'd really ask the seller a question before considering a purchase.
Have you ever hooked one of those boards up in an S2000 Storm?
He's going to need the modified serial cable and hook it up to a PC with the PSP program right?
It's not programmed through the settings in the S2000 like a Netplex progressive display?

Bunker good point on the cable it's hard to tell in the picture
if the J7 cable for the ChamII board is there it looks like it might be the gray one all coiled up
but then again next to J7 there is a harness already connected so it might be pulled from a S+
either way it's a simple hookup with psp and the pc I have done at least 10 of them.

I would ask the seller if it comes with the correct cable J7 for a S2000 hookup

Tim I have it in a 2 coin SB100065.  No reason to believe a 3 coin would be that hard to find.

I think the SB100057 is for the Vision 5XPay? (According to a list I have)
It needs the LCD screen?
However, there's a small note that hints that any SB chip that starts
with a number "1" is an S2000 game and not a Vision.
So I don't know about these lists sometimes....lots of conflicting information.

Thanks for the input guys! I just sent him the question asking if it came with the J7 cable for the s2000's like stormrider suggested. I bought several kits from slotmachinepartsstore but I do not know why most of his kits do not have chips with them.
I know I'd buy more if they were complete kits.

Yes, it's a good deal.  I'd buy it before someone else does -- you'll always be able to get a hold of the chips in the future.

I saw it a day or so ago and would have bought it myself except I already have a couple 5X Pay themes and didn't want another one.

It would be a SB100290.  And it is a good price for all that.

That's the Mikohn ChamII+ stand-alone progressive meter -- it's the display (and the box that drives it, which is a power supply with the ChamII+ processor board mounted on top of it) for the progressive amount in the glass.

The display (or the "meter") gets mounted in the glass.  The gray flat ribbon cable gets connected between the "input" plug on the display and one of the two plugs on the ChamII+ board.  The box itself will go behind your upper glass (secure it down in at least one spot if you can, so it won't go sliding around and break your glass if you move the machine.

Snake the black power cord down behind the reels to the power supply area and find a plug for the white four-prong plug to go into to give it power.

You'll also have to connect the interface cable between your S2000's motherboard and the ChamII+.  Someone here who has hooked one of those up to an S2000 will have to help you with the specifics, and then there's the matter of telling (programming) your S2000 so it knows that you have a linked progressive meter attached to it -- also something that someone else will have to help you with, as I've only ever attached a ChamII+ to an IGT S+ machine.

And note....the interface provided with your kit (gray thick wire cover) is NOT for a S2000, it's harness set up is for a Bally S6000.
