Title: Legacy Bonusing on BlueBird - Jurisdiction Chip??
Post by: The_Pfef on March 05, 2011, 02:11:48 PM
Does anyone know how to enable Legacy Bonusing on a Bluebird? No matter what I try, the Legacy Bonusing is locked to 'disabled' in the setup screens. The machine is set with SAS Primary on the Host 1 port.  I am wondering if it may be locked by the particular jurisdiction chip in the machine. The machine has an Arizona chip.

Also, does anyone have any information on what the particular limits and settings are within the typical jurisdiction chips?

Thanks for the help...

You need to do a ram clear in order to change the legacy bonus option.
Which blows monkey ass because it takes 15 minutes on these machines!!!

The Legacy Bonus is still locked as 'disabled' even after a Ram Clear.

That's odd -  mine isn't on OS 1221

Wow, Same OS 1221:

I can't get to the Legacy Bonus Setting without setting up a Host Port to SAS, etc. Then go into the "Dual Host" screen. The Legacy Bonus setting is first on the list and it is disabled and cannot be selected. I'm lost.

It is a setting to allow credits to be awarded to the machine when the machine is attached to a casino accounting system.

Legacy Bonusing refers to SAS Bonusing commands and is only allowed only on a single channel. Machine Control refers to any protocol message that a host system issues that would change the settings of the gaming machine, its peripherals, or availability of the machine for play. Machine Control functions are restricted to a single channel and can be set to Off, Host Comm 1, or Host Comm 2.

Perhaps you have comm 2 enabled -   do a ram clear  - only enable comm 1 and you should be able to enable legacy bonusing
