Title: VLC 8825 gutted and ready to be parted out. Post by: rickh on March 07, 2011, 07:16:37 PM I just spend way more time than I planned to, taking this VLC 8825 apart.... but it was fun. The machine that wouldnt work, I figured was dead.... after pulling it apart, I found maybe a half dozen plugs not plugged in all the way on different boards. HA! Maybe the boards are all good?
Anyhow, I am going out now to take pictures of what I have.... if you need then, good.. if not, they wont take up much room. Stay tuned! Rick Title: Re: VLC 8825 gutted and ready to be parted out. Coin hopper Title: Re: VLC 8825 gutted and ready to be parted out. Post by: rickh on March 07, 2011, 09:41:45 PM Other stuff I took off....
Monitor w/touch screen. It is still in the frame, damned heavy to ship I bet. Chrome trim around the monitor, excellent shape. Lock for round key, but no key. Rest lock that my reset key fits.... no key otherwise. The case is gone this week, need it out of the way. The rest I will put in boxes until someone wants them. If you are interested in anything, just make an offer and cover shipping... Title: Re: VLC 8825 gutted and ready to be parted out. Post by: rickh on March 07, 2011, 10:04:30 PM oh ya... I also found a Bally Systems power supply... plug-in, 120v to 9Volt DC.... like an adapter that has some board plug-in on it.
Title: Re: VLC 8825 gutted and ready to be parted out. Post by: knagl on March 07, 2011, 10:33:15 PM K+ to you for taking the time to take and post all of those pictures and offer the parts. I hope someone is able to put them to good use.
The Bally power supply is likely a Mastercom (player tracking) supply. Was there a Bally Mastercom box in the top box (behind the player tracking panel)? Title: Re: VLC 8825 gutted and ready to be parted out. Post by: rickh on March 07, 2011, 10:40:55 PM I beleive in that karma thing, what I do comes back to me in time.... good or bad. My goal is to give whomever needs the stuff a break while managing some beer money :)
I got no clue about the Mastercom thing.... if its in the pictures, then yes... Title: Re: VLC 8825 gutted and ready to be parted out.
