Title: S 2000 coins go to credits
Post by: slots4home on March 10, 2011, 12:22:11 AM
Could anyone tell me why after setting up S 2000 to accept coins the coins actually go to credit?
what did I do wrong in the setup?

Isn't that what you want it to do as opposed to...?  :128-

Maybe nothing. It depends what SG software version you're using.  If 363 there are no other options than coin in to credit.

363 allows coin in to Game only, Game and Credit, or Credit only. This setting is in key menu.

If you enable multi-denom, and the VS chip is a multi-denom, it locks to Credit Only for obvious reasons.

This is from the 363 PSR:

Coins In              Coins are always directed to the coins/credits meter.

7.1.10.2 Coin-In Option: Although this menu appears, it has no affect.
Coins are always directed to the coins/credits meter.

Then IGT goofed up on the PSR because I have been able to do coin in to any of the 3, with 11IX0 (single denom) and 11NX5 (multi-denom capable - only enable one denom)

Yeah, and it wouldn't be the first time either.  Maybe that's just the default setting?  I'll have to check it out later.

All I know is it works,
Mine is configured for coin to game play then credits. that is how you get the different coin in sounds.
Even though I have not had to insert coins for a while now.
I posted about this when someone asked about different coin in sounds on a DD or DD Haywire machine.

I thought slots4home was looking for one of the options like coins to game and rest to player.  This is 362's Coin in Options:

7.1.10.2 Coin-In Option: This submenu determines how inserted coins are handled.
COIN IN TO GAME ONLY = Directs coins to the coins played meter, up to the maximum bet; returns additional coins to the player.
COIN IN TO GAME AND CREDIT = Directs coins to the coins played meter, up to maximum bet; directs additional coins to the credit meter, up to the credit limit.
COIN IN TO CREDIT ONLY = Directs coins to the credit meter only, up to the credit limit.
NOTE: This option is only available when (1) the game is in single denomination mode and, (2) the paytable program is not a multi-line, multi-coin paytable.

Foster,

I had a chance to check into this some more tonight and you're right.  SG000363 does allow the same coin in options as SG000362 as posted above and they all work.  The PSR I have for 363 is incorrect.  K+ to you for catching it.
