Title: Can't access my multimedia sound settings
Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on March 12, 2011, 01:47:47 PM
I have a double 3x4x5x slot that I have a multimedia board (enhanced memory 1) and it has a DSV00042 sound simm in it. The main board itself is a S2000 enhanced, 2004 by IGT. When I go to my multimedia sound set up, it won't let me set up reel spin, rollup, etc, for enhanced-preffered. Also on the same slot, when the game is idle, the bulbs behind the reels are glowing but very faint. When I hit a pay, they seem to light up as usual. Is there a way to resolve that as well?

Thanks

The glowing bulbs are normal.  What SB chip do you have installed?

The bulbs are suppose to be in a dimmer state at idle
and light up when a winning combination is hit.

Even with the dsv42 installed this game theme is a dud.

I have the same game 3x4x5x Double Times.
My SB chip is a SB 100783. My game 1 & game 2 are SG 00363.
This game doesn't support enhanced sound.
That may have been one of those  games  that got away from I.G.T. when someones kid designed it.
I'm also disappointing. It is what it is. Bad planning.

The SB is 100783
The game chips are SG000598

Do you have a DSPL0002 chip installed in the DSP socket next to the simm? If not, that's your problem. It interfaces the simm with the MPU board and the simm won't run without it

Such a shame too.  That is a fun good looking game, but the sound blows.

hey BR, does that Triple Crystal Sevens support the enhanced sound via your DSV 42? if yes, how do you like it?.. I'm asking because i want to get a MML2 board with a sound simm for it.  :183-

Actually I would like to know if the Triple Crystal 7's uses the DSV38 and not a generic Simm.
