Title: Setting up TITO
Post by: jdkmunch on March 13, 2011, 01:53:45 PM
I've been trying to figure out the correct settings to get an I-Game to validate one ticket.

Here's what I've learned so far:

    1.  In order for TITO to work you have to select a validation setting that allows an SAS redemption setting.
    2.  I have gone though all the choices and found only two that allow SAS as a redemption setting -  SAS System Validation and SAS Secure Enhanced Validation
   3.  When I select SAS System Validation  -  you CAN NOT print tickets from the machine -  the printing option is disabled so this leaves only one option

SAS Secure Enhanced Validation -

I selected this and can now print tickets and when I insert them it's reported back to the PC through SAS.

Here's my problem -  I keep getting these CRC errors -   Could this be a cable issue? or a setup issue?

It's not enough for the PC to see the messages.  A database needs to be created and integrated in the software. The software needs to send this data to the database and verify that there is a valid entry corresponding to the ticket that you inserted.  I thought it would be a neat idea to put in an option that would allow you to manually type in an amount in the program, which would then put an entry into the database and then print a ticket out of what ever machine in the system that you tell it to.   Anybody continue on with the SAS program???

Well,

I have been searching the forum to see if there is a way to get the bill validator to validate the tickets that it prints.  This post is the closest I could find regarding the subject.  I assume a computer would be needed, which I have one that I can dedicate.  I have seen talk that it is possible as well as talk that it is not possible.  I think I 've even seen that there is a program already made for the computer to do this?  (I could be wrong.)  Just looking to see what the "official" position is.  Is it possible?  If so, is there a good direction on this?

Thanks!

D

This whole forum sub-section has a wealth of info, but it may take you a while to read through it all. :5-

This thread may be of more use to you though

Thanks guys.  I have already started poking around in that forum.  I guess this is a complicated matter?  I guess I was hoping that there was maybe a program that I could install and a cable to hook up?  I know that sounds naieve, but what do I know!  ;)

Also, the game I have is Triple Double Stars, 3cr, 9 inch., S2000.

Thanks again, guys!

If only it was that easy.  :72-

There nothing 'out of the box' (yet) that will do what you want. All of the solutions so far have been people modifying other programs.

I suggest for starters that you download andyp's program (it's in there somewhere) and get the basic SAS connection up and running.

once i get a gui written for mine i will let a few have it for testing. since anyps didnt handle non standard comports to easily i rewrote one.
i am doing in only spare time so its a little slow in the works. i am polling 6 machines right now and its using secure enhanced validation. rights tickets when cash out to a sql database and the reads from data base when a ticket is redeemed.
