Title: Upgrade advice needed.

I am relatively new at this and my machine is rejecting most bills. The validate is DBV-145-55-6031-B022. I have read several threads about this topic and still would appreciate some advice. Should I upgrade?.....Buy new one or perhaps just clean the one I have?

The DBV-200 would be the easiest upgrade to as it's basically a direct replacement. However you will need to upgrade the BV power supply to one that has vent slots in it like this, unless you already have one like it. My last machine came with a 145 head but had the 200 power supply, so all I had to do was replace the head.

You can clean yours, but it is more limited to the number of newer bills it will take. The DBV-200 will take everything except the new $5s (with the latest firmware).

As noted in your other thread, be sure you get the right one as there are different versions. Your 145 should say ID022/ID023 or some other combination of numbers like that somwhere on it. It is important that you get one that matches what you have.
