Title: upgrading bill acceptor in S plus Post by: barsnsevens on March 20, 2011, 10:44:50 AM I have an older S plus that has a 145 ss bill acceptor. It works fine but will not take the new colored twentys. It will take the big face ones though. Can a 200ss with the latest software available be installed and work in place of the 145ss. I can buy one for $45 and want to make sure it will work. Do I also have to reset the denomination? Thnks for any help.

Be aware that the 200 will not read the new colored $5s even with the latest firmware. You will not need to reset the denomination. However, there are a few things you need to check.
1. The 200 head you buy is the correct type. For an S+ it should be ID022/ID023. 2. You have the correct BV power suppply. You need the one with the vent slots as show below. The 200 draws more current and needs the beefier power supply. Title: Re: upgrading bill acceptor in S plus Post by: barsnsevens on March 20, 2011, 11:54:41 AM Thats good. Thanks Poppo.
