Title: Are S5000 opto's problematic ? Post by: jwpowell19 on March 22, 2011, 01:13:44 AM I seem to always to be replacing opto's in my pinballs and wanted to ask if the reason I constantly get "error 45". This is after cleaning all the opto's on all three reels, reseating all chips, replacing batteries, clearing...not sure what else to do. I did get it to work and play a game once, but as soon as it was reset as soon as the reels would jump a little on startup I would get the error code....Can I swap reels to see if the problem moves ?

I would switch 1 and 2 and see if the problem moves to 2 (code 46). If so, you have a bad reel, if not, it's something else. The reel optics weren't very prone to going out, but it can and does happen. |
