Title: SEGAI SE - M33C14
Post by: proten on March 23, 2011, 03:39:17 AM
Hi
I have a Bally Pro Video that I picked up on Craig's List.
New battery and a ram clear its up and running.
The problem I'm having is I can't adjust the
horizontal size of the display. The adj. pot is stiff
and when I turn it there seems to be no change.
I have looked for parts and repair manuals but
came up with nothing. Is this a repairable
setup or do I need to look at changing out
the display for some this different?

Thanks for your help
Paul

I would do 2 things before replacing it, 1) check the adjustment pot with a meter to see if it is working properly, replace if not. 2) check the capacitors on the board and replace bad ones.

Thanks Firebird
Was there a problem with this brand ?
I can't find any info on it and I'm starting
to think that the SEGAI brand wasn't any good.

Thanks again
Paul

I don't have experience with SEGAi myself, but with kortek and ceronix this is usually a bad capacitor on the board.

I checked the variable pot and and it checked out.
What's next to check? I have a manual for the MC34xx
but I'm not sure if it is the same as the MC33xx.
I don't have a way to check the caps but none of them
show any signs of leaking or bulging.  Any ones help
would be great.
