Title: What does this display go to?
Post by: Brianzz on December 14, 2008, 09:53:35 PM
I was digging around and found this in a box in the garage and don't remember buying it, maybe the slot fairys dropped it off. Anyway, anyone know what it goes to?

Brian,

I can't quite tell from the picture but it is either a Meter for a LED5 (Cham1) or a Cham2 meter.

A cham1 only has a ribbon cable connector on the back, whereas a Cham2 meter has both a power connector and a ribbon cable connector.

This just has the ribbon connector in the back, no power inputs.. hmmm

Still trying to figure out where it came from.

Does it have any chips on the back of it?  I have one for a LED5 that has 3 chips, a capacitor and a 20 pin ribbon cable connector on the back of it.

I think it goes into the mini photon board in your top box on a S+ if it doesnt have any power inputs.
You might be able to program it the same way you program your mini photon meter.
The only requirement might be a 20-pin flat cable and a mount of some type.

It's got 3 large chips on the back and 1 resistor, typical situation, none of the chips have any markings at all on them

I plugged it into the mini photon board and got nothing, uses the same cables tho'

That's because it's a LED5 CON1 display.  I have some RT glass to go with it if you need it.  The holes in the PC board are used to mount it to the glass.  Wood strips are glued to the glass and the PC board is screwed to the wood strips.

This link shows my display on a Riverboat Gambler RT machine ( a Double Jackpot Haywire clone)

I see the numbers "S1" ....could it mean that it is designed for a CON1S ?
Or does the "S" just mean "stand-alone" and still work with a CON1?
"INM12" might mean "in meter"..."12" may mean ..."12 cells"
Finally ..."Mikohn" means "your stuff is too old....We cannot help you" :96-

What kinda display system are you using for your machine presently?

You got it!

I have been using one of the mini photons but it's disconnected right now, I haven't had time to fool around with my machines since last spring so they're just sitting around eating electricity and collecting dust.

If I get time...I'll make you an "Auto-Play" switch for your Max Bet button.... :89-

If there is no power on it I concur with IDesign.
Its a display for a LED5 - I have 3 machines with these in them.

I cheated a bit and cut out my player tracking bar that way I could cheap out and not buy the fancy glass.

Unfortuantely i also had to cut into my reel cage to make it sit just right.

I don't need an auto play, the game chip I use automatically bets 3 when I press spin reels, so I can wedge a paper clip or a cup of coins on top of the button and it'll auto play all year

Their sandwiches look nothing like their advertisemets.
In the US it used to be 5 for $5, here in Canada its 4 for $6.
No wonder we weigh less   :72-
I do say I like their horse radish sauce

Big Boy (made famous by Austin Powers) is completely gone here. Now that was gross food.

There's an Arby's several miles from my house, it's been in business since before I was in high school.

It works pretty good...I am trying to figure out why it goes blank when I pull the jumper and press "on" dipswitch-7.
I am wondering where to get a manual for this..or at least something that fully describes how this "linker" works.
Nothing happens when I connect the serial cord directly to it, I have to use the only con1s I have - to change the display settings.
I have attached a short clip, but it's sound is  a little ahead of the video.
