Title: Does anyone still make aftermarket reel glass?
Post by: poppo on March 29, 2011, 05:30:42 PM
I know E.I. does not make copies of IGT glass anymore, but does anyone know if they still make 'standard' reel glass? if not, does anyone know of anyone who does make it? I'm still trying to find one more 'like new' S+ reel glass.

EI might make generic reel glass that doesn't have any specific copyrighted IGT "stuff" on it. I don't know what constitutes copyrighted "stuff" on a plain piece of reel glass? ...

The original stickers can (and should, IMHO) be put on the old fashioned way, as opposed to silk screening the messages permanently on the glass, so the content of the stickers wouldn't matter. Plain black, blue, or red glass shouldn't be an issue. I suppose that they might have to change the "look" of the payline or of the word "payline" slightly, but I'm certainly no copyright expert.

I can tell you from past experience that they required a minimum order of 5 pieces to add mirroring. Also, I have never asked them to do this, so it's possible that they will refuse. It certainly couldn't hurt to call them.

Looking for a belly glass called Crazy Claw Flish
Looks like Lucky Larrys Lobster Mania. It was by A/C (Anchor Coin) that IGT bought out.
Escentially a Haywire clone.

Thanks Buzz. Sometimes this old brain doesn't think the way it should.
That should not be to hard to find.
Only problem is it does not have Haywire on it.
Thanks, Ford

My 9" Triple Diamond Haywire shows the Haywire symbol at the bottom left only.
