Title: S2000 Reel Strips Compared to S+ Reel Strips, Width
Post by: IFFV68 on April 12, 2011, 06:00:56 PM
Are S2000 Triple Diamond  Deluxe reel strips,  non back lit with or without the sparkle,  a different width than the S+ versions with or without the sparkle?

thanks

yes...the S+ strips are generally just a touch wider than the s2000 strips.
This causes the strips from an S+ to sometimes "buckle" at points
where there's "spokes" on the S2000 reel baskets.

You will sometimes see strips that people have cut the
edges to make them fit better on an S2000.
However, please be aware that these cut/modified strips will
really suck big time, should you try to install them back in an S+.  :60-

I was told that the non-backlit S2000 reels used the same baskets as the S+ (meaning that you'd want to use them for S+ strips since they're not backlit and you wouldn't run into the size issue) -- does that sound about right to everyone else?
