Title: whats the other battery do Post by: brianfink on April 14, 2011, 01:51:37 AM I know the round battery is for the cmos memory and has to be good or u get an error but what is the green battery for? They are dead on both of my machines and they still seem to work fine.

It monitors the door optics and door, cage switches while the machine is off. You can remove it if it a 501, 502, 504 board If it is an enhanced board I have heard leave it alone or else.
