I found these on Ebay and bought 2 for a project.

What I plan to do is mount them side by side on the panel behind the belly glass in one of my s2000's. Looks like they are about 7" wide so that'll give me 14"+ of overall width and about 4" high with 36 LEDs or 24 if I don't use the smaller sets with 6 LEDs on each. I would think that'll be enough light to replace the flourescent that's in there. I figure if I need to diffuse the light some I can cut a flourescent ceiling light diffuser to size. Anybody ever tried this before? Any suggestions? They were only $24 so it's a cheap project at least

I've used those in my 13" GK and my vision MsLGM.  They're actually designed to illuminate inserts on IGT slant top machines.  I haven't thought about using them on an S2000 belly glass, but it may work with two of them spaced correctly to illuminate the entire thing. You'll have to do a little soldering work to get both of them onto the single power connector you have on the S2000 belly glass light.

The first couple I bought from MCM electronics, but I bought a couple from this seller too.   They were 3 - 4 dollars cheaper than MCM + free shipping.  Anyhow, I thought I may use them to illuminate a 17" GK insert bills here legend, but they're too wide for that.  So let me know how you make out with it.  Maybe I'll use them for the belly light if it works out for you.

I've used some LED tube type replacements from MCM on my machines, but that was before the last few rounds of price increases.  They're a little over $37 bucks a piece now in small qtys for a F15T8 replacement. The same seller has some F14T5 replacements for $19.95 + shipping, they will fit in IGT toppers.  I bought a few of those with the intent of putting them in my toppers and doing some custom work to get them to fit my 17" GK bill legend.   

I really like having LEDs in the machines, they look better in my opinion, last longer, run cooler, and use less power.  I just wish they cost less.

That looks SWEET :92- I might have to try that in my Denver Duck top box. Lots of flourescent lighting in that baby :89- Good job :131- I'll post something when I get it set up. I'm just glad these are made to plug directly into the existing wiring

I swapped denver duck out for cfl - it looks great - those computer tubes found on eBay

Yeah, I'm sure you'll be able to find some use for them in a reel touch machine!  They do have a lot of lights for sure.

Has anybody tried reversing the light and focusing it towards the back of the box? It might make the dispersion of light more even and eliiminate the "hot spots".

So I got 2 sets of these lights today, wired them together and replaced the belly door light with them. They work pretty well, but for anyone thinking of doing this, keep in mind they are only about 67.48253% as bright as the flourescent. I'm gonna keep them because I kinda like the lighting a little more subdued. It's a good fight for the reduced brightness I get from the LED bar I replaced my reel glass lighting with :89- Now for the top box...

I was making a game of my own and needed to "spread"
out the lighting a bit.
I went to my local hardware store and bought a sheet
of some type of "diamond" plastic plexi.
It's not more tham 3/16th of an icnh thick really.
Maybe 1/8th really.
The back side of this "diamond" plexi sheet is flat.

Using a sharp Exacto knife and a steel edged ruler, I etched the
plexi with the knife to size, pulled the etched line to the edge of a table and pressed down on it.
It snapped perfectly on line with my cut and it effectively disperses the light the way I wanted.

It's the same sort of stuff I used to see in the panels under
older storage room-type of ceiling fluorescent lighting.

Whether or not this solution would work for your application remains to
be seen but it worked for me using it up in the top box for a project I put together.

I just received a few of these lights and don't want to see smoke when I hook them up.  Will someone be so kind as to show me where these lights plug in?

If they're the ones I posted above, simply unplug the power feed from your S2000 ballast and the plug on the new lighting matches right to the plug on that power feed. In other words, bypass the ballast
