Title: light up bill decal questions
Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on April 18, 2011, 04:11:44 AM
First question: My S2000 machines have the bill acceptor entry bezel is the JCM type with the picture of the truck and lets you know the last type bill that was taken, it does not have the small lamp sockets that I would install my orange wires socket into in order to enable the light up decal. Is there still a way to enable my light up decal even though I don't have a palce to install the small bulb/socket at the end of the bill acceptor decal orange wires?

Second question: Can one of these light up decals work on an S plus machine and if so, how?

Thanks,

David

Not sure where else you may get a BV switched voltage on your S2000, but any other ~7vac voltage source will turn it on all of the time. I 'think' somene had said you could do it internally with a jumper too, but I'm not sure.

:103- I thought you already did it.

If not, the video is the 99.9% the same. Except it's easier since there is less junk to route the cable behind.

I have already installed the first one with no problem, so I just need a way to get the 7vac to turn it on since I don't have a place for the bulb socket to go to. As far as the S plus, where does the main power come from? The small lamp should be fine for the 7vac since there is a socket in my bill bezel light I can use.

Just plug it into the power supply.

On your S2000, unless you use power that is switched on/off with the BV bezel, the decal will be be lit all of the time. On a S+ some people use the denomination lamp socket if they want it on all of the time. Not sure if a S2000 uses the same socket.

S 2000 denom light is 14 volt.

This post seems to indicate it will work with the S2000 denomination bulb. I thought I read somewhere that it would work with either voltage.

Or, this post and the next one shows what jumper to move to turn it on all of the time.

They work with the S+ and S2000.
Mine are installed to the BV bezel boards

If the S2000 has LED bezel you might have to determine which 2 wires activate the board and wire the orange wires to them.

The stickers were designed for the S+ and are very plug-and-play -- as poppo mentioned, just plug it into the S+ power supply.

On your S2000 with the Sentry bezel, your best bet would be to move that jumper (follow the second link that poppo posted in reply #5) and just have the sticker on all the time.  Then you won't have to deal with hooking up the orange wire to anything, and won't have to worry about frying anything.

I have the Sentry Bezel installed in the S+ and S2000.
The S2000 lamps light up the Bill Entry
That is the one way to tell if the Bill Bezel is for a S+ or S2000, the S2000 bezel has cut outs at the bottom so the lamps can light up the bill entry, that is also why it is not black.

got the decal working thanks to all your guys help, much appreciated. I moved the jumper inside the black box so that the decal is on all the time.

Why use the jumper?
When the denom lamp or BV bezel lamps will turn the unit on.
it is rated for about 6 to 13 V to to activate the unit.
basically a voltage activated switch.

there was not a lamp socket for my denom lamp or my bv, I think both have led's that are built into each.

If you want to use the signals from the BV bezel
The wires are yellow with black stripe and black with yellow stripe.

Hello,

Concerning the wires that are yellow with black stripe and black with yellow stripe, does the power pass through these wires ?   :103-

In the affirmative, where is the + and where is the - ?

This is my question because I have a problem with my bezel BV, that I am explaning on this post : http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=23800.msg189289#msg189289 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=23800.msg189289#msg189289)

Thanks !   :131-
