Title: Reel Touch Error Help
Post by: idylewild1 on April 20, 2011, 10:29:28 PM
Have a reel touch with the following error.

Multi Slave System Error Occured

Crash Type = Miscellaneous Error

Game:: process packet ( event-bonus-init)
Paytable Graphidid 0X0000003a
with flags 0X01 not supported

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

That looks like a problem with the CPU in the top box. You might check the cmos battery on the board and start the machine with the cabinet to that cpu open to make sure your processor cooling fan runs also.

Any luck solving this problem?

I've heard that it's almost impossible to replace the parts in the top box of a reel touch now.   Parts just are not available for these machines.

I'm interested to know if hooking up a keyboard if you were able to get into the top box and reset the bios and get the machine running again.

Parts just are not available for these machines.

Vendors are probably not touching them
and selling them "as is".
Only Blueridge and Bettorslots ( that I know of...please excuse me if I didn't mention anyone else on this)
may have some parts for these machines but
I don't think they're being stripped down like S+'s and s2000's.

I'm interested to know if hooking up a keyboard if you were able to get into the top box

I did have success hooking up a keyboard to a Vision LCD computer last winter,
or was it like two years ago already?

I know I had a thread on it somewhere in NLG.
I wonder how similar the harness connections are between the
topbox Vision LCD computer and a reel touch computer?
Anyways, I was able to look at some cool start-up stuff on the screen and
get into the bios to look at things... :89-

Unless there is some security in place, I don't see why we cant plug in a regular pc with the software and make it work.

The key is looking at the molex and wires to understand how the mpu is interfacing with the pc above.

I agree, but I was able to make the harness connections by looking at the LCD schematics I believe.
It's been awhile since I've done it but I know I still have the keyboard in a box at home.
I'll bring it in tomorrow and shoot some close ups of the connector I had made for it.
I'll bet it's not far different, if any, from the one I made.

I think the reel touch computer was a little stronger and faster
and held more memory than the Vision computers to run better graphics and stuff.
Plus, the reel touch LCD's were larger but it's a good bet that the keyboard hook ups are the same.

Don't know how but here is a pic of the connections on a reel touch screen.

Wow!
It's looks like a raw laptop computer!
However, before USB connections were invented!
You need the older mouse and keyboards that were around before USB connectors, or use adapters.
I think there's USB actually...next to the internet jack too!

No problem! That thing is just like the older laptops.
Plug in the keyboard on the purple one, you can plug in an older mouse on the green one.
You can even plug in a desktop screen into the VGA blue connector too!
Heck, if you really want to go all the way - you can plug in some desktop speakers into the audio jacks!  :97-
It EVEN has a printer port! hahaha!

Bunker,

Actually that is probably just a Micro-ATX motherboard just like in standard desktop computer. It is an older style, but I suspect if the computer goes out you may be able to replace the computer motherboard, that is unless IGT used a custom built design, or if they had a custom BIOS for it to work with a slot machine... :103- :103- :103-

Also that is 2 USB connections right next to the ethernet plug. Like you said about the audio and VGA connection you probably could plug something into it. If I had a reel Touch machine, I think that I would try to hook up those connections to a big wall mount flat screen TV so the audience could enjoy in style! :79- :97- (This would be an auxillary Display with Stereo sound, but you would still need to use the Reel Touch screen because of the touchscreen.) See I dream big!!!! (I guess that I would actually have to get a Reel Touch machine first, then dream bigger! All just a dream in my budget! :25- )

CH :95-

:72- l I would love to utilize that blue VGA connector output to a large wall mounted LCD TV screen!
That would be kinda cool!
It would be also "kinda cool" to have all that extra money to blow on ideas like this too!  :279-
