Title: Hyperlink
Post by: laneman on May 04, 2011, 09:43:04 PM
Can Aristocrat games that are hyperlink mystery games(MK6) run on a single, stand alone machine?
If yes,how do you configure them in the setup?

Hey, yes they will run/play fine but when they trigger the 'hyperlink feature' it will actually play the 'hyperlink feature, what ever that is, for example the trains or clowns' but then the machine just errors when it tries to input the credit, so you just hit the usual jackpot/reset and it moves on. Otherwise you'll have to setup the hyperlink which is all too hard for a standalone machine. ;)

Games such as Adonis, Geisha, Queen of the Nile and Indian Dreaming will run through the Hyperlink feature and then lock up. You must reset the machine by turning the jackpot reset key (Don't worry the credits will still be there after-wards). In a pub this is when the attendant wpould hand pay the jackpot amount. Perhaps an idea is to look up what the standard win is during the jackpot and then insert that amount into the machine after winning the jackpot. You could even use this random number generator to generate a realistic jackpot win. http://www.random.org/

Some Games such as Corros De Toros, Cashman Tonight, Mr Woo, Zorro and Banana King have their own standalone Jackpot feature. They are set up when you save the machine's options and you can change the current value (so you win more when it comes). When you win this jackpot feature it is automatically credited to the machine, just like a standard feature.

Corros De Toros,Mr Woo and Outback Jack will play in my machine.Mr Woo and Outback did need a jumper and a video board to work though.
Players World Super will only work if you have a hyperlink controller.

I don't have PLayer's World Super, but surely you can change it in the options.

I have over 20 MK6 Hyperlink games, and now I have most of them running as single stand alone.
Nothing special is needed. Runs on a regular backplane, just disable the Hyperllink feature and Set the variation to 02, for 92%, etc..

Hello everybody,

i have found this thread and hope you could help me. I would like to run a Aristocrat Hyperlink machine like Geisha, Paris Lights and so on standalone. All sellers tell me that i will need a Paltronic Jackpot Controller System which will cost about $ 7.000 and more!!! Otherwise the display in the topbox will only show jackpot amounts with 0,00.

Do you know if there is a way to realise it without the Paltronic Controller? Or is there a way to get a controller that does not cost so much?

Many thanks and greetings,
Dennis

Well, The Hyperlinks can run off three diferent controllers (that I know off) and I have installed all three.

All depending what game software you want to run, ie US platform or NSW platform?
I usually run on US platform software because I do service and installs in the Americas and at this very moment I have 5 banks of Hyperlinks install in 5 casinos.
I run these Hyperlink machines on Mikohn controllers, etc..

I have also install a few for other casinos years ago, using a Prolink controller, which is now an Aristocrat owned controller.

If you are in NSW area, then yes, your best best is to run those off a Paltronics controller. That price they quoted you on is for a new controller, but you can get those used and works just great for what you want to do.

If you just want to run one or two games, its not worth it for the price of the controllers unless you really need it for test purposes.

Those Hyperlinks games (links) are best with 8 to 14 machines connected, although I have installed up to 28.

Hello Alfonso,

thanks a lot for your answer. I really want to use only 1 machine for home use. But the Aristocrat Hyperlink is one of my favourite machine so i would do a lot to get it run ;)

I´am located in europe and the highly price the sellers told me would be for a used (!) Paltronic controller. Are you able to get a controller a cheaper way perhaps? If i could use a mikohn controller to let the progressive display run...do you know how to connect and program it? I´am not sure but i have seen an usa-version of such Aristocrat machine with 4-level-progressive meter in the topbox that could run standalone. Is it possible to get such machine somewhere?

Thanks again and many greetings,
Dennis
