Title: LED Replacement Bulbs Post by: racergiant on May 05, 2011, 06:39:12 PM Found this site the other day for LED bulbs.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fled_prods.htm (http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fled_prods.htm) When I put in bulb # 555 I got back this. http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2F6vwedge.htm (http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2F6vwedge.htm) Does this look like the right one? $1.39 each doesn't seem like a bad price either... Plus, they come in different colors. As far as the #86 bulb - they say that their #74 works (5th listing down...) http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fmini-wedge.html (http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fmini-wedge.html) The 74-X is $1.19. That doesn't seem like a bad price either. Plus there are color choices there as well. 194's are for the buttons, 74's are really small Title: Re: LED Replacement Bulbs Post by: racergiant on May 05, 2011, 09:52:42 PM They (the site) says the 74's replace the 86's - in the displays behind the denomination, etc...
The only thing is that they say thier 74's are 12 volt. I guess they would work in a 6 volt system since LED's require less power. Does that sound logical? The only thing is that they say thier 74's are 12 volt. I guess they would work in a 6 volt system since LED's require less power. Does that sound logical? i would think that a 12VDC LED used in place of a 6VDC bulb would result in a dim light output. it shouldn't cause any problems but it probably won't be too bright either. LED's use the same voltage as incandescent bulbs but require less current to run, saving you on your electric bill :3- if the 12V LED's don't work for you in the 6V application shoot me a PM about them, i may be able to get you some 6VDC T 1 3/4 LED replacements. :137- |
