Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: coorslight115 on May 06, 2011, 01:18:53 AM If you want to practice your pin straightining I will send them to you. Good luck :200- :200-
Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: stayouttadabunker on May 06, 2011, 01:51:16 AM Wow...what a mess of chips.
I highly doubt the broken chips happened during shipping though. I have no idea how you can get that much force onto a chip to crack in half while in a box. Take a chip that you know you won't use, bend the **"prongs"** over so you don't stab yourself :25- and try to bend it. I'll bet you cannot crack one in half. I'd have to put one into a bench vise and crack the chip with a hammer! No matter what, eproms should never, ever be sent through the mail system like that! lol THAT is totally un-acceptable... Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: staz on May 06, 2011, 02:02:38 AM i must say in all the years i received packages i never had a bad experience..... :3-
Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: MrBellMan on May 06, 2011, 02:20:05 AM Come on, man up! Get out those needle nose pliers and get to work! :5-
Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: Yoeddy1 on May 06, 2011, 02:34:44 AM Just put em back on eBay! Somebody will buy them. :)
Jason Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: reho33 on May 06, 2011, 02:40:26 AM Melt them down for new chips LOL
Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: StatFreak on May 06, 2011, 03:18:58 AM Use them to create a 3-D collage of modern art. Perhaps you could design a "picture" of a slot machine suitable for hanging on the wall.
You'd get more for that on eBay than you ever paid for the chips. :71- :31- Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: poppo on May 06, 2011, 09:49:51 AM I highly doubt the broken chips happened during shipping though. I have no idea how you can get that much force onto a chip to crack in half while in a box. That was my thought too. Chip packages are very hard. I can't see it happening just from bouncing around in the box. Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: KirkLasVegas on May 06, 2011, 11:52:46 AM Anyone need some 27C010/040/080/27C801 chips?
Also have a ton of 27C128/256 and 512's.... As I prepare for the move, I wont need them any longer..... (Hawaii doesnt allow slot machines ) Kirk Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: FORDSBS on May 06, 2011, 12:11:41 PM (Hawaii doesnt allow slot machines )

yeah...like THAT"S going to stop ya... :72- I'd be shipping parts in separate boxes - in a heartbeat.... :96- Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: KirkLasVegas on May 06, 2011, 12:45:49 PM Well.........
I have seen "Pachislo" and even some IGT S+ machines offered for sale on Craig's List in the Islands. So I guess they wont sentence you to death for owning one... I will keep my Bluebird and 2 I-Games but wont have room for 20+ machines like here in Vegas. I plan on playing more with radio there. I have boxes of Motorola VHF and UHF equipment. I have a UHF HAM radio repeater I took out there 2 years ago and left it behind. I have been controlling it from here VIA a 4 wire VoIP circuit. I plan to leave the "System" i have here in Las Vegas behind and control it from Hawaii. SO....if given the choice of...... 1> Live in Las Vegas and visit Hawaii once a year...... 2>Live in Hawaii and visit Las Vegas a few times a year enjoy a FREE room, take advantage of free slot money Eat their free food, take the discounted airfare to vegas and back.. My vote.......#2 !!!! Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: reho33 on May 06, 2011, 05:00:19 PM When gaming comes to Hawaii, then you won't have to leave LOL

Why don't you leave your Bluebird at my house and you can control it from Hawaii with a Bunkerized remote via VOIP That way you can still play it and not own one in Hawaii. Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! Post by: knagl on May 06, 2011, 08:07:32 PM Also have a ton of 27C128/256 and 512's.... Hey Kirk- I could use those for sure (at least the 256s and 512s) for my S+ and PE+ machines. :89- I wish I knew you were leaving sooner -- I would have made sure to come visit on my last Vegas trip. :( Glad to read that your wife is doing better. :89- Title: Re: Proper Packaging !! These look like they might be a deal, at least they are not loose chips. Have to inquire about his packing skills :208- :208- :208- |
