Title: 1998 SEVENS 25 cent slot with 5 paylines
Post by: Litnin on May 10, 2011, 06:23:10 PM
I recently aquired a 25 cent Bally slot machine (3 reel) .  When I first plugged it in all the lights and the top candle would only flash and couldn't be reset with the code 81 flashing on the front LED.  Replaced the battery on the MPU.  All the lights don't flash anymore, but get the code 4-2 .... across the LED readouts on front.  There is no JW10 to reset the clear...I think I might need a clear chip.  Anyone know that typr of error code?

The Model on the machine is S65L3C6FO

currently nothing happens on the machine, the reels do not calibrate or reset and it won't accept coins, they just fall through to the bottom.

Reels have never spun on their own since I've had it...just did the battery today.  Any magic way to reset that code or #2 wheel?

Isn't that the IGT error code?  This is a Bally

That is Bally 6000 code.
Did you do clear after you installed battery?

I don't think so.....looked forever for a jw10 jumper but it does not exist...figured I'd try that method.  I included a closeup of the chips to see if they maybe gave a clue on if I need to get some clear chips before i am able to reset the machine.  Already just tried holding the reset and coin buttons on power up...no results.

Do you know what model/type of machine this is...what series?  I also picked up an IGT machine...works perfect, easily found the manual for it.

If you replaced battery chances are you'll have to do a clear.
You need a set of clear chips.Vendors @ top of page should be able to help you with chips.
Then you'll need manual to set up.

Thanks.  I looked at some of the vendor sites but didn't really see a clear path to the correct chips I need...any thoughts?

Yes to both...chip has already been shipped..thanks!  Need to get this machine running perfect so I can decide which I keep and which one I sell...fortunately just remodeled the basement...should make a nice addition to the game room.

You may as well keep both. You'll find out that you never have to many machines.

When I ran into them happenstance the other day I told her I'd sell one to pay for both and make a little $$...got them for $100 each with stands.  Here is the other one (off topic).  It's an IGT...I'll post these in the correct forum too.  I think I found the correct manual but still unsure what model/series this is.  Model # starts with IB - manufactured in 1996.  This machine works perfect...I've actually got it set for pennies right now.
