Hi to everyone,

I have the PE+ poker game PP0014 which is a 100 coin game that doesnt jackpot but puts large wins into the credit meter and has an 8-5 pay table (40,000 credits max win at 100).  I would very much like to find the X-version of this game since its a very good game but the Bill Acceptor unit doesnt work with this program.  I'd even substitute it for another 100 coin capable game with the same pay table.

That paytable with the 300-coin Royal Flush is an oddball.  According to the game bible (http://newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%20Poker/Standard%20Draw%20Poker.htm), that's the only program available for that "QJ" paytable.

There are other 8/5 JoB programs out there, but the Royal Flush won't be 300 coins per coin -- most of them are 250 coins per coin.  PP0197 or X000197P , for example.

Thanks for your quick reply.  I've got a few programs that are 6/5, 8/5 and 7/9 but its the high bonus I didn't want.  The PP0014 has a bonus of 400 coins per coin for a royal at 100 coins played which is managable but 800 seems like too much.  At the moment I'm using the XP00079 but trying to find the best performing program. 

If you know of any programs that are considered top performers that would be very helpful.  Thanks very much for you info. 

Your Royal Flush is half of what a Royal pays for the vast majority of standard Jacks or Better games here in the US (most are the 800-coin per coin variety, or 4,000 coins for a 5-coin wager).  In fact, looking at that game bible page (http://newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%20Poker/Standard%20Draw%20Poker.htm), the program you're using has the lowest Royal Flush payout of any of the PE+ Jacks or Better games out there.

Keep in mind, though, because a Royal Flush isn't a frequently hit hand, even having double the value compared to what you're running now, you're only giving an additional 1% to the player.

Your current game (paytable "QJ"): % RANGE: 92.3% - 94.3%    OPTIMUM: 96.3%

The PP0197/X000197P game (paytable "BA"): % RANGE: 93.3% - 95.3% OPTIMUM: 97.3%


I'm assuming that the 7/5 game you have is Paytable P11A.  As I'm sure you've seen, that one has an even higher hold for the house (less of a payout to the player) (% RANGE: 92.1% - 94.1% OPTIMUM: 96.1%) versus the game you're currently running, despite the 800-coin per coin Royal.  The reason for that is because Full Houses are hit much more frequently than Royal Flushes.

Unless you're a really, really small casino where paying out that larger Royal Flush is going to hurt your day-to-day operations, I wouldn't be too worried about it as the Royal isn't as frequent of a hand.  Something you could do would be to install the 7/5 JoB game with the 800-coin Royal and advertise it as an increased Royal Flush payout for your casino compared to the old game.  Your casino will make slightly more money on the game over the long run, and it's possible that your players will like the game because of the increased Royal.  Of course, your savvy players will realize that you've decreased the payback slightly due to the 1-coin reduction in the Full House payout.

If you do that, take a look at your coin-in over the past few months, and compare it to a similar period after you make the change to see if it increases, decreases, or stays the same.  Unless there's a significant decrease, you may have a winner with that 7/5 game.
