Title: S2000 Power Supply made by Autec circa year 2000 Post by: reho33 on May 12, 2011, 07:51:02 PM It just went "poof", I smelled smoke and power went out to the machine. Put a spare PS in the game and a-ok. Opened the supply and found no obvious puffed caps or burn marks. I want to fix it so is it worth it and would a simple recap do the job other than checking the transformers to see if the windings are burned/

I know a new one can be had for 50 so maybe not worth it.

Smoke and smell. This is the original PS as it came with the machine so 11 yrs old, hummmmmmmmmm.............guess it was it's time. That is why it is good to have spare parts hanging around.............
