Title: 14 serial pin to RS232 adapter
Post by: JonaMX on May 25, 2011, 08:36:59 PM
I'm trying to connect a William 550 to my RS232 built-in PC port using the SAS program, but I don't know how to build the wire the William use a 14 pin conector like the pic, anyone know what is the configuration?

IF you have a schematic that would help
Basically you would wire it this way I will leave machine pin numbers out for now since I do not have a schematic for the board that would connect to in the WMS 360/550

Machine           PC
TX -------------> 2 RX
RX <------------- 3 TX
GND ------------- 5 GND

That's the problem I don't have any service manual or the interface schema of the Williams 550

Good day,

configuration is like file attached.

Pins in WMS 550 backplane. Connect RX - TX, TX - RX, GND - GND
