Hy to all,
i have several S2000 machines in stock and some of the machines allready sold.
All of the machines sold have been checked before sales and where good working machines.
Now allmost every customer had the same problems after a while.
They all got the General Tilt problem with the reels that keep spinning.
Mostly they just where playing the machines without a problem and then they got the error.
They did not touch the doors or opened the door while playing so I don't have to look in that direction.

What's mostly causing this general tilt error?
What's the easiest way to resolve this general tilt error?

I am asking because i feel it is sometimes hard to get the machines back up and running properly after that error.
Most of the time i need to fix it while talking to the customer over the phone and it takes me a bunch off time before they get it running again.
Not all of my customers have the technical skills so that's making it more hard also.

Any quick fix or ideas are welcome.

The one time I had this problem it was related to door optics and the machine not sitting a on sturdy, level surface

Checked those optics every time and the problem was not coming from that side...

I am more thinking about the mainboards because almost every machine had battery leak damage, i always clean them and change the battery but once the acid has done its work....
I guess there's more then one machine out there that has had the battery leakage.

Could battery leakage be a reason for random errors???

I'm not saying I had bad optics, just that the machine not being on a solid enough surface for the weight of the machine would cause it to have reel tilt errors while playing. Even pulling the handle would move the cabinet enough during play to cause the error. As far as acid damage, yes, it can cause a whole list of problems up to and including a dead machine I imagine

you could be right about the allignement of the optics while pulling the handle.
Anyway those optics i don't like them, i prefer just a more simple solution like the cherryswitch.
Never understand WHY IGT always provide that cherry switch in the machines but it is never connected because te optics do the job....
Why do machines leave the factory with that cherry switch not connected.

another question, is there a easy solution to unplug the optics and make the cherryswitch connection instead?

Yes.  That was my first thought when I saw the title of this thread.  If the boards had acid damage from the green battery, that absolutely can cause random door open errors, and if that happens in the middle of a spin it'll result in a general reel tilt.

i get people with the same problem after they first receive a machine and usually i just tell them to pull out the processor and push it back in and i dont hear back from them after that. some contact cleaner on the backplane connection might help. yousually if u open the door while the reels are spinning slowly turn the jackpot key the reels should stop then close the door the machine should finish the spin where it left offf
