After you and I talked, Mom thought that it would be easier to use Sunday as our driving day, so we go in "sometime" on Sunday later in the day most likely. So we will see you there Monday!

RSVP for Me and Mom we are coming in sometime on Sunday as stated above, and are leaving somoetime on Thursday. We are going to stay at the Riverside this year to try something different. They are sold out, but TRIPRES has some of there rooms as they have prepurchased some blocks of rooms.

I found some of the Hotels were showing as sold out, so I used TRIPRES.COM like I did last year and found rooms available at good prices. They usually commit to blocks of rooms from the various hotels that they can sell off when the actual hotel is fully booked!

Bunker That is the Colorado River, but it's so full of Jet Skis that we take the Boat about 5 miles North to Lake Mojave and have all the room in the world to have FUN. If the candy ASS won't get on a ski, maybe he can be goaded into getting on the new water pull toy I just bought.  HOPE the Skipper has all the pass words for  :nlg-

I don't know what happened, the old motor has got 7 cracked pistons and a blown head gasket. Old motor is a 396 and were putting in a 454, it should kick ass.   :265- :265- :265-

 Ron were going to use the Ski Boat for/on Joey, waiting for a power prop to come in, figured needed some help to get his fat ass up on a ski. Besides that boat had a bent prop shaft so had to install a new one might as well change props at the same time.  I need to find a boat shop that will trade me parts for slot machines !!!!

LAUGHLIN - While communities across the nation are downsizing Independence Day celebrations Laughlin is doubling the fun, adding a second night of fireworks and increasing the shell count for the annual Rockets Over the River Fourth of July event. On Saturday, July 2, and Monday, July 4, a continuous barrage of excitement will burst over the clear waters of the Colorado River.

“Celebrating Independence Day isn't something Laughlin takes lightly. This is our gift to the Tri-state and we want to continue our momentum as the fireworks capital of the Southwest,” said MJ Smith of the Laughlin Tourism Commission.

Pyrotecnico, of New Castle, Penn., a family-owned company in business since 1889, will produce both shows. The Vitale family provided fireworks and effects for the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show, the Democratic National Convention, the Kings of Leon music videos and the Baltimore New Year's Eve Spectacular.

“We are planning a show to knock your socks off,” Smith said. “Last year's show was reportedly the biggest in the state, firecracker for firecracker, and this year will be even better. With many cities paring down celebrations this Fourth of July, Laughlin is proud to yet again deliver a breathtaking fireworks show.”

Laughlin will launch more than 17,000 shots, peppering the sky with a patriotic light show guaranteed to thrill even the most jaded fireworks viewers, and taking in the excitement from the banks of the Colorado River makes the experience even more thrilling.

“It's a spectacular show no matter how you look at it,” Smith said. “You can step out of the casinos onto the Riverwalk, or just hang out on the banks of the river. Either way you have a front row seat.”

The Saturday show will be choreographed to summer-fun music while Monday's show will dance to a more traditional, patriotic beat. Rockets Over the River will be simulcast on all the Cameron Broadcasting Stations: AM 1000 KFLG (known as K-Star); AM 1230 KAAA; AM 1490 KZZZ; the Tri-state's number one country station, Country K-Flag at 95.9 and 94.7 FM; the number one classic rock station, Lucky 98 FM; and the Tri-state's number one hit music station, The Knack 107.1.

“Pyrotecnico choreographed the show to upbeat, feel-good music,” Smith said. “The finale will have everyone on their feet and proud to be an American.”

Shows will begin after dark, at roughly 9:30 p.m.

This is no BS,  last year when we had the boat on the lake. The boat ramp is about 4 miles from the Damn. The closer to the damn ( Bullhead ) the hotter it got. At least 10 degrees HOTTER.

When Joey goes to the lake, where does he go, right by the Damn  What does that tell you?  The DRY heat does effect your brain !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've done the same thing in past years. Draping towels over the side windows and seats, and putting a proper sun shade in the windshield is essential. Even so, the car bakes.

CH :95-, those ice packs won't last long, although they should work long enough for the AC to kick in once you're driving. The year that the GN didn't have my room ready on time (meaning no refrigerator for a few hours), the chemical type ice packs I had used while driving to BH City and then had to store while waiting for the room had not only warmed up, but had actually BURST. :127- :30- I had to throw them out.

Redneck Turtle Burgers
for your 4th of July Bar B Q!

Here's a new twist on how to serve burgers at your next BBQ

Handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave, (use the cheese to keep the bacon shell on) Next step, add hotdogs pieces as the heads and legs with slits for toes and shape a tail. If ya really wanna get artistic you can carve a hotdog head with eyes and a mouth slit!

Next Step: Place gently on your grill and cover with an aluminum foil dome and only turn once or if it's a rainin' you can place yer turtles on an oven rack, covered loosely with foil dome and baked for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees.

A little crispy, not too crunchy!
Just how a turtle should be, right?


Slap them Turtles in a hamburger bun and serve!
(See if your guests eat 'em head or tail first)

If you have room for the precious cargo, that would be nice.... Otherwise I can make a trip to your place some time later...

Interesting note: The latest updated Google weather widget report indicates that Bullhead is actually going to be COOLER than it's going to be in my home town. :8- :8- :8- :37-
Bullhead City is listed as having thunderstorms Sunday and Monday, with very mild (for BH) temperatures of only 104° and 101° respectively. Wow! That's certainly the coolest 4^th of July I've seen there years.

Happy Fourth to everyone! I drove by Joey's house when Mom and I got in at about 1am, and not a creature was stirring so we went to the Riverside Hotel! Probably tired from all of the prep! We had a cool lightning show on the way in, and it actually rained a little here this am. Not too hot so far here! When I passed the Highway that view to Buzz's place I gave him a call... I just got home and had a GREAT time.  Plenty of food and fireworks.  I may be wrong but I didn't see anyone drinking beer.  I guess were a bunch of Pu*****   

Other than Joey's people I think CH and myself were the only members there.

Had the boat in the water Tue. and Wed.   even got Mark on a pull toy  ( he has some pic.)  he didn't get beat up to bad !!  Well he did say he got the wind knocked out, but we didn't call the rescue boat for him.

Glad you had a good time. I thought with all the guys in that area there would be more there.
Us guys in the East will have to have a get together sometime.
