Title: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on June 01, 2011, 10:11:15 AM I was playing my machine last night and it just stopped and the display showed system error, then call attendant. What would cause this to happen? This is a Triple Diamond Deluxe machine that I have had for @ 4 months and it has never given me any trouble before. When I open the door, all of my lights on my main board are on, but the red light is blinking. Sometimes it will go into the "call attendant" display.

Describe if they are on steady or blinking. Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on June 01, 2011, 10:02:47 PM all led's are on, red one is blinking.

If it does then plug IO cards in one at a time, restarting after each till original error comes back. Might just be a bad MPH also

Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: stayouttadabunker on June 02, 2011, 01:26:12 AM Oxidization of decade old machine connector pins would be my uneducated guess... :5-

turn jp key reading the vfd after each turn of the jp key and post the information here we might be able to determine the best actions to take. it could be corrupt data or a bad RAM, EEPROM, base, game, or version chip. if you are getting the system error that means at least the game (GME 1 and 2 chips are functioning) Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: cowboygames on June 02, 2011, 01:53:21 AM Which version MPH are you using? 502? 504? Enhanced 1270?
Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: Foster on June 02, 2011, 01:56:19 AM A clear and key are not recommended except as a last resort.
Also try just removing and re installing the MPU Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on June 02, 2011, 01:58:26 AM either 502 or 504, I know it's not one of the enhanced ones.

"MPH" ...hmm... :129- are you purposefully missing that "U" key on your keyboard? :72- Yes...502 or 504 (By the way...these are usually printed on MPU boards) I agree with the Aussie beer fella....with the "POWER OFF" physically (means using your hands) un-plug and re-plug connectors of all sorts of various shapes and sizes... you'd be totally freakin' amazed at what wonders that can do for your machine! Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on June 02, 2011, 02:05:14 AM Being that I am not in front of the game at this time, that is why i could not be sure of which board I have. but I will re seat all of my connectors and re seat the UPM as well. haw haw!!!!!!!
Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"????? Post by: stayouttadabunker on June 02, 2011, 02:10:51 AM That may be an okay term to use as well as really an MPU is also made out of composite materials
very similar to the more modern home patio decking building materials! :5- However, I'm not quite certain that wood was involved in the making of these particular circuit boards... :47- Title: Re: IGT S2000 "system error"?????
