Title: Bally Wild Rose s5500 with dbv145
Post by: byteblaster on June 06, 2011, 01:16:11 PM
Hi Guys,
Maybe a stupid question, but I've bought a Bally Wild rose with error 81. It came very cheap. I know error 81 is the battery and  a complete reset. The question however is this:

The machine also contains a bill validator. (dbv145) Is there asimple way to let this accept euro-bills? (maybe a new eprom)

Thanks in advance

Kind regards,

I used to work on those. Those bvs are a nightmare. I do not think you can make it accept euros. Most of the newly produced Euros security is in the ink. That's why all the new BV companys are scaning UV and  light sensors. For final confirmation I would call JCM support. Go to JCMs website, Contact us,Support #.

As Crowsen said, you probably can't get the DBV-145 to accept euros, but the DBV-200 is a drop in replacement (if you have a vented power supply), they are available pretty cheap, and there may be euro support for it.

Hi Guys,

Both thank you very much for the replay. Try to get hold of a 200.

Btw Do you know how to obtain a manual for the s5500?

Greetings
