Depending on the garbling, a bad solder joint on a surface mount component could do it too. In other words, if all the data isn't making it from the digital section to the analog amplifier section of the board, it'll sound funky. :) Now you would've found it quickly if you had an oscilloscope to view the signals passing through those caps. ;) |
