Title: Wonder Bar
Post by: kevboy on June 12, 2011, 11:27:52 PM
Hello all, I picked up 5 uni ultras from this guy on  Craigslist and have been slowly been bringing them back from the dead (with the help of Uniman). I have the first one, a Triple Crowns running and all is good on that machine. The second one is a Wonder Bar. After I cleaned it up. checked battery, replaced bulbs, etc, I put the game chip on the board and powered up the slot. All I got was error 14-1, no other codes, just a steady 14-1 shining into my face. I then put the game chip on a known working board, same result, 14-1. I then put another game chip on that board and Viola!, the game worked but of course the payouts were not correct as the chip I put in was a 3 line game. So if I am seeing this right my game chip is bad. If anyone has any thoughts on this or if my reasoning is way off base please feel free to tell me.

I would say your game chip is bad, as well.

Time to look for another copy of the game chip.  :89-

I think that's a lot easier said than done when it comes to American Unis. :103-

Of course you performed a ram clear with each chip change. And then check the game chip pins and make sure one didn't fold over. If after that you have a 14-1, then yes, a bad game chip.

Thanks to all who replied, and reho33 " es ist nicht so wunderbar ". The game chip on this board was not seated all the way when I got it When I looked closely I could see one of the legs was bent out and not in the pin hole. I straightened it out and put it in correctly, did ram clear and got the 14-1 code. I did do a clear after every chip change with same result. I wasn't sure if it was the board or the game chip so that is when I tried a different chip and the game played except for the wrong payouts. I guess I will search for a different game chip. Thanks to all kevboy
