Title: What Voltage should my Bally 6000 be at.
Post by: fballer on June 22, 2011, 11:23:28 PM
Have a Ballys Proslot 6000, Black and White Progressive.  Had the battery low message come up, went to Radio Shack (the Source) and bought a new Battery, SAFT LS 14500 3.6v.  Installed in a remote battery holder, but after a SafeRam clear a 83F0 errors come up (but I've used the saferam chips before on this machine and they are the right ones).  Through reading old messages it stated the battery should check out at 3.7v,  mine measures at 3.63v, is it still a low battery?  Any help would be appreciated, since if the battery is bad I just wasted $16, but will buy another one.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

the battery is fine at that voltage. Is it installed and wired positive to positive etc?  Likely is, but just wanted to be sure.  The code is coming up for incompatible saferam clear chips(wrong eproms), which is not a low battery error.  Is there any chance that you had 2 sets and used the wrong set?  did you change the main chips?

Thanks,
Wayne
