Title: Bally 6000 Ram clear
Post by: keystone9 on June 25, 2011, 10:28:27 PM
Just did a ram clear on a new batch of Bally 6000's and it cleared but when I get to the part of the date ant time it just scrolls fast thru the date and time numbers. I can not get out of this to finish the clear and set options. Any help? Thanks Bill

Don't know but if were me I'd try doing a few complete clears.
I never had on that did that.
Does it do it on all machines or just one?

Could you have a stuck button?

Good answer. Could be the bet max button.

Just got started on a bunch of Ballys including some Monte Carlos with the 10 bonus spins and I am trying to nail down the issues so I can breeze thru the rest. I did try everything you mentioned but no good. Never came across this one before. I'm thinking a jumper or dip switch setting. Has a 24 hour time clock instead of 12 hour. Good to hear from you Ford. Bill

Same to you Bill.
I don't think a dip switch would cause that.

I can't find anything for 24 hr. time.
I don't think so but dip switch for market code might if it is from military or something like that.
I'm not thinking straight. Mine are also for 24 hr.
OLD AGE SUCKS.

I'd put that one to the side and try another. See if that one does the same.

Maybe one of the pros will chime in with an answer.

This is almost always a bad microswitch or stuck button.  Proten was on the right track.  I would check the bet 1 first.

There are a lot of empty posts in this thread, took some time to scroll down.

That makes a lot of sense to me. I will check that out within the next couple of days when I get some time to. Thanks Bill

Got it straightened out. Thanks to all the help, it was a stuck spin reels switch. Replaced the switch and Bingo. I can't say enough how great it is for all the help from good people of this site. Bill

Glad you got it going. Pretty close to bet max button.
