Title: IGT S+ Bill Validator Only works with Bill Door Open Post by: cmastruserio on July 02, 2011, 11:22:36 AM Hello all,
This is my first post on the forum. I am new to the slot machine world, but I am quickly getting addicted (I have bought 3 already). I would appreciate some help. I have a Double Diamond Slant Top, which I believe is an IGT S+. Everything works fine on the machine except the Bill Validator. When I open the Bill Validator door and turn the machine on, the lights on the bezel will light up and it will accept bills (Tested with a new 20 and worked). But when I close and lock the door, the light goes off and it wont work. I noticed that there is a white button that is pushed in when you close the door. It seems to me like it is working opposite to how it should. Bill Validator should work when pushed in, not work when out (door open), but this machine does the opposite - works when out, no when pushed in. I am very new to this, so any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck Title: Re: IGT S+ Bill Validator Only works with Bill Door Open Post by: FORDSBS on July 02, 2011, 11:48:01 AM Welcome to NLG. I'm sure you will learn a lot from NLG. I'm not the best on slant tops.
If you can post some PICTURES that helps. This week end guys have a lot on the go. Maybe someone who knows about slant tops will give you some advice. There should be an optic switch for when the door closes. If it's got all 3 make sure only the normally closed and com tabs are being used. Or just twist the two wires together and call it good

The White switch (button) is a switch we call a Cherry switch. I"m pretty sure you have a wire on the wrong terminal. Most Cherry have 2 sets of three terminals each, just ignore one of the sets. The remaining set I think should have a wire hooked to the two outside terminals with a unconnected terminal in the center. You can move these wires around to find the Right combination without harming your machine. Cherry switch is a 3 position switch on/off/on manually pull out center plunger and then move the wires untill the light comes on |
