Unfortunately, if it's like most of the other 5 reel 9 line machines, you're gonna be stuck with the legacy sounds.

Is your machine 3 reel or 5 reel ?  on a 3 reel a DSV00042 will work . as well as many others if SB chip last # are under 100 as in sb100010 3 reel 1 line 2 credit or SB10009 3 reel 1 line 3 credit    OPPS  I see it is a 5 reel  sorry disregard this post

Its a 3 reel 5 line game.I do have the DSV42 sound card installed, but in option menu it wont let me go that far to enable between legacy and enhanced sound.

What is your max bet?

You may want to read this thread pasted below, as I think this may be the same thing even though it is a slightly different theme.

Can anyone with the big bucks Simm programmer modify the sounds programmed/installed onto a Simm sound circuit card to their likes?  :129-
Specifically, what form of bytes are saved on those things?   .wav files ?

For example...I saved the Hillbillies closing theme song to my ticket printer exit sound file folder in my Vision machine.  :72- >>>

Can any other sounds on a simm be changed such as the roll up medley, credit up, reel spin? If so, how would I go about doing that? How did you get the Hillbilly's theme sound on the ticket printer sound?

Thanks,

David

I believe that Bunker was able to change the wav file from the Vision card. I don't believe it can be done with a non-vision version of a game. Believe me, if we could, we would dump the SIMM for sounds and reverse-engineer it (wait a second, I think it was done already). Whoever did it should share............oh wait......you can't change anything that you buy...........copyright violation NOT!

Reho is correct...remember, it's a Vision game.
Vision games use PCMCIA flash memory cards.
Sort of like the ones we all used to shove into our cameras about 6 years ago?

Anyways, you open up the card on your computer, swap the
sound file with another sound you download from the internet.
It's important to "crop" the sound byte to just about the same
size file of the one you're swapping with.
If it runs too long - you lose some of the sounds that you want to keep.
That's why I "crop" it.
There are several sound file folders on a Vision card to choose
from to change to whatever you want to.

The only way to do this sound file "swap" on an S2000 is
to have access to a Simm card reader/programmer.
They run some where in the area of a $1,000.00 bucks or so.
Do I have one?....I wish....!!!  :184-

I have WAAYYY better ideas  :299- for reel spin, bonus spin, etc etc other sounds than IGT came up with....  :72-
Them guys use the same crappy sounds that are similar to every generic DSV00042 card.
It's like their game designers ran out of ideas and to save money - they just stick the same crappy
sound bytes on even the newest S2000's before they stopped making them.

As far as changing sounds on your game...there's nothing wrong with it really.
It's pretty much the same as installing an car alarm, installing curb feelers or putting in
some enhanced super stereo system in your own vehicle.
Think of putting some sort of gas-saver chip in the car's computer or making your
lawnmower run 60MPH in some redneck races (which I love watching by the way! lol)
Just don't sell it to anybody - that would be breaking the copy-right laws I would guess?
Who knows, I'm not a lawyer...lol
Tinker and mod your own machine all you want!  :89-

I don't have any vision machines, so could I use one of those cards in a standard S2000 machine? I would like to make a custom slot machine with different sounds, reel strips and glass.

You need to be more specific about which "card" you are talking about...please.

Heads ...it's a PCMCIA card v.s. Tails ...it's a Simm card?

Mark, you need to load that game up with a long fart wav file when the ticket comes out.  If you do it, be sure to share a video!  Lol!
