The DBV200 SG / SH heads for the Bally ProSlots and the Wms DOTs aren't interchangeable -- at least, not on my machines. It's been so long since I've used 145s in them that I don't remember if those are interchangeable or not. CRS. :25-

That might be your issue.

:103- Maybe I should just defer to the experts.

All three of my heads (2 Bally and 1 Wms) have all switches turned off, and are at least labeled as having exactly the same firmware and checksum. The JCM DBV200 manual doesn't show switch 8 being used alone for any configuration.

I bought my heads a long time ago from Fannini (Ben). I know that I tried to use the head intended for the Bally in the Wms and that it didn't work, and vice-versa. The Wms may -- at least in my case -- have a different lower circuit board. :103-

It's probably best to just disregard my posts. :47-

If you have IDO 44 Ido 45 chip for the 200 head the 8 switch flips between 044 for bally and 045 for williams

:103-  According to the manual (and my memory), switch 10 changes the ID.

Here is a clip from the manual. The instructions for ID044/045 are at the bottom of page 8.

However, all of the switches are OFF (ID044) on both of my Bally 5500 heads and on my Wms Dotmation head, but as I said, my Dot might be weird.

Paul, here's what I found regarding your dbv145.

For the SH protocol, switch 8 (we're talking dbv145 now) is turned on if there is a stacker, and off if there isn't. That's all the info I could find. Changing that switch might work on your machines.

As I said earlier, CRS has set in and I don't remember how my old dbv145's were set.

you are correct from looking at the 145 and 8 dips and the 200 has 10 dips and it is 10 0n or off to go between the 044   045  on the 200

Did you solve your dbv145 swapping problem? :128-

There was different software for the 145 for Bally and Williams, but it did seem to be interchangeable.  There was ID044P/045P for Bally and ID044W/045W for Williams.  I would often find Bally games with the W and Williams games with the P, that seemed to have been working fine.  Those were all 360/550 Williams games, so I'm not sure about the 400.

I wouldn't rule out the head yet, but I'm not convinced that it is the problem either.  :200- :279- :208-
