If you have a reset key, Insert it on the right hand side of the machine and turn it.

It may ask you to do it 2 times.   See what that does.

tried using the reset key a couple of times and it kept coming back. I will get sound, and it will say something about a self test right before it shows the wrong ram data

Was your machine working fine before this, Or is this something new that just started? Do you have a manual?

latest update.
Because of the corded mouse dropping covered boards I replaced the distribution board and the main board and wheels.

now it goes through the start up and first says battery dead then says lamp comm error

if it makes any difference the new board that I put in still has the chips for a treasure wheel, mine is a treasure tunnel. Just didn't change em yet. Wanted to see if I could get it going.

any thoughts or suggestions ?
thanks

Your machine should work with a dead battery. On the front of your main board you will see 2 banks of dip switches.

On sw2 turn #7 to the on position. That will by-pass the battery. I have one machine working with no battery at all on it.

Also the lamp com error could be because the Treasure Wheel uses a different plug than a Treasure Tunnel.

Give that a try!  Jim.........

Thanks,
I found the ditch setting for the battery so I got that fixed.
On the lamp comm error, if I unplug(while off) the three ribbon strips going to the display in the door then plug back in it seems to work, but the the coins will just fall through to the tray without registering. On the display "insert coins" is flashing and the dollar bill light is flashing also.
The if I turn off and back on I get the lamp comm error again

Did you put your Treasure Tunnel chips back in?  That should get rid of the lamp comm error.

Also do you have a coin in the coin comparitor?

I will put the correct chips back in as soon as I get home (work nights). Should I put all six chips from the old board into the new board ?

Yes I do have a coin in the comparator. Not sure what you call it but the flap that opens to let the coin drop is closed until you turn the machine on, then it opens allowing the coin to fall all the way through. Then as soon as you turn the machine off it closes.

OK, I changed out all six chips from the old board tot the new board.  So now it has the correct treasure tunnel chips in it. That seems to have gotten rid of the lamp comm. error.

Now the coins still just fall right through into the tray and wont register anything. The green LED light is on in the inside of the comparator and it has a coin in it. The LED screen on the outside changes from insert coin to insert bill.

any suggestions ?

got it working, after I changed the chips the coins would still fall through. I had turn the sensitivity the wrong way (duhhh) on the comparitor. now it seems to be working.

Thats great!  Does your machine take bills as well?

We play ours quite a bit.

Post a picture if you get a chance  :89-

It won't take bills yet, it takes them almost all the way in then spits it back out. Sort of sounds like the motor is tired, it sounds real weak before it spits it back.
Also need to replace several burned out bulbs on the tunnel.
Will get a picture in the morning when I get back home.
