Title: New Bally Alpha!
Post by: eis_slots on July 26, 2011, 10:46:58 PM
Just added Poppit to my collection. Fun game with a some what fun Bonus game. I have the topper for it also, however it wont fit on it because of the ceiling height. But what I do like is the 19" monitor.

That's a fun slot. The Mrs. played that game online at pogo.com and when Bally's came out with it she loved it.
Nice slot!

That is a good one.  I am quite sure where it came from.  Thanks for sharing the pic.  Stay tuned because I think there are going to be a "few" of these avalable and some will be "heavy hitters" and diff. models.  Lately there has been a lot of these purchased and mostly I heard go over-seas.  I just seen numerous manifest and up to go as I say of these of over 5,000 machines and recently I know aprox 3k have been sucked up.   Looks like there will be some modern Bally talk here in the future--Told You------------- :96-.  B.

 Thanks Guys!

This machine came from The Isle of Capri in Missouri along with about a dozen more Alpha's. There are two of these left. A lot of what's going over sea's in the Bally S9000's. Luckily I was able to snatch one up before they got shipped off to Chile. The only one I was able to get was Bonus 7's. For those unfamiliar it's the 5 reel with video bonus on top.

I don't think I ever played the three reel quick hits only the 5 reels. As far as the quick hits goes haven't had any of them come in either 3 reel or 5 reels or video ones. But when I do come across one I know i'll be snatching one up too.

Yea as a retailer with a store front I can't compete with huge wholesalers. That's why most of my business is local so they get local service and don't have to rely on a phone conversation to try and fix there machine.

personally i rather buy through a retailer instead of a wholesaler........i purchased my monte through betterslots and when i got the machine it was immaculate like right out of a show room....... you will never get that going through a wholesaler....

When buying from smaller retailers like myself or places like Jim this is how we make our living and don't sell 1000's of machines like these large wholesalers. We have to take pride in our machines. A lot of what I do is through word of mouth locally. Nobody knows that better then Jim who everybody knows takes huge pride in his machines and I think anybody on here wouldn't hesitate to go to him.

They can be a pain in the ass. Especially in clearing them.

Not when you have the correct Clear Card and Bios, nothing to it

The Newer Bally's will be coming on and contrary to their bad rap in the past these are much better.  Just depends on as any make which one(s) it is.   I look forward to the new trend with these.  Will be some new jargon to talk about here I am sure.  HEE-HAW is a good one --They had muliple themes on the farm/country stuff.  All I can remember is chickens clucking---------- :96-.  B.

Those are awesome games... I play them every time I find them in the casinos.  If you were'a hunting for one I would pick that up off of Jim Blue quick...they are rare indeed....

I never liked that word never..."never say never"...  :96-

OK, so you get your new Bally Alpha, how do you get the 5 level progressive set up (assuming it to be a stand - alone progressive)?

Title: Re: New Bally Alpha!
Post by: Bettor Slots on July 28, 2011, 03:36:03 AM
It's built in to the set up menu and yes it works standalone.  It establishes the base amounts for each progressive tier or level based on the game denomination.  You can adjust the increment percentage.  You can also set it up where each level is a fixed amount and does not increment up.

Ok, that answers my question. Very easy. So do you think in about 2-3 years that the price will come down after there are tons on the market? I could see the S2000's disappearing after about 2-3 more years.

Price comes down in time on most platforms.  Overseas casino markets control this and the pricing you pay to get something.  As long as there is interest the price will always remain steady.  Williams 550's, BB's, and IGT I-Games are perfect examples of how something can maintain value for years.  Believe me...when you see machines available to you...you are getting the scraps that the overseas casinos did not want.  Currently there is high demand for Bally Alphas for a good reason and has been steady now for over a year....this is why you have not seen any available unless you are willing to pay overseas casino pricing.  With regards to S2000's, it's a good platform and I don't see them coming off the market for another 5 years or more.  For sure, since IGT stopped production on them in 2009, this tells you they will still be coming out of the casinos, some are very cool newer versions, all the way into 2014.

Your right Jim all the s9000 Bally I had access to went to Chile. Only reason I got the one is because it would have made an odd number pallet.

Thanks all for your input. Remember, anything can be had for the correct price! Gives me some hope.
