Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on July 30, 2011, 03:02:04 AM
I am trying to clear a s2000 slot that I just got in and when try to clear the game, instead of waiting for my 2 amber lights to come on, all I am getting is the top green lights and the amber light just flashes. any ideas on what I might need to try next?

Thanks,

David

IT must be a 1270 enhanced mpu
Must use a clear 224

it is an enhanced cpu but as far as which clear chip, I don't know. I got it from Darrell at slots4home and it just says S2000 clear chip on it. I have used it on my other machines with no problems though.

The 224 clear chip will work on all the s2000 boards, but the 1270 will only clear with a 224.

The 224 clear chip will work on all the s2000 boards, but the 1270 will only clear with a 224.
There is a 223 clear chip also. The difference is the 224 clears the E2 memory chip also.  See below.

IVC00223 SUPPORTS NON-WAP RAM CLEAR FOR 7551270X BOARDS.
TO BE USED WITH CLASS III JURISDICTIONS. IVC00223 IS A RAM MEMORY CLEAR CHIP ONLY. IT IS A SINGLE PROGRAM CHIP THAT IS TO BE INSERTED INTO THE BASE PROM SOCKET OF THE LEGACY MEMORY BOARD.

IVC00224  SUPPORTS NON-WAP RAM/E2 CLEAR FOR 7551270X BOARDS.
TO BE USED WITH CLASS III JURISDICTIONS. IVC00224 IS A RAM AND E2 MEMORY CLEAR CHIP. IT IS A SINGLE PROGRAM CHIP THAT IS TO BE INSERTED INTO THE BASE PROM SOCKET OF THE LEGACY MEMORY BOARD.
