Title: bally e2203 reel light burnt out
Post by: quasimodem on August 01, 2011, 06:34:55 PM
So i fired up the e2203 in my profile, and the fluorescent light over the reels didn't come on. I pulled it out, and of course, the numbers are not visible on the bulb.

so i started a search online and found more than 1 light that might go there. does anyone know what model fluorescent bulb might be over the reels in this beast?

all i can read from it is ##5 cool white & made in japan.

TIA

They are a standard light bulb that can be bought at every place from your local hardware store to Lowe's or Home Depot.. It is possible that is the starter and not the bulb that's bad. They are the round silver or white cylinder looking things located on the door. You should have more then one since most machine have two or more door bulbs. To remove them just turn it counter clockwise about 1/8 turn and they pull right out. The will be marked FS-2 or FS-5 either will work, so you can move them around to test your other bulbs..
