Title: REEL GLASS Post by: ghetto1971 on August 04, 2011, 10:08:33 AM I have a S2000 roundtop and looking at a game kit for S+. Was told everything would work except I would have to switch out reel glass. Based on what I see the displays will not match up (coin in, coins played, credits). What modifications will need to be made to make the glass work?
Title: Re: REEL GLASS Post by: StatFreak on August 04, 2011, 11:40:46 AM The award and reel glass will work, as will the strips. You can leave your reel glass alone unless the number of paylines doesn't match. If that's the case, you'll need to find a generic S2000 reel glass with the correct number of paylines. S2000 glass comes in short and long varieties. If your credits, coin in, etc. are to the right of the reel glass, you'll need the short glass.
If the S+ kit comes with an SS chip, you'll need an SB001000 base chip to run it, however, many older games were ported to the S2000 platform, so there may be a replacement S2000 Base chip for the game you choose. Here is a thread (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=11690.msg101565#msg101565) describing how to use an S+ chip in an S2000. It's stickied at the top of the S2000 board. StatFreak :31- |
